Tom Hardy Says Venom/Spider-Man Crossover Film Almost Happened

Tom Hardy has revealed that a Venom and Spider-Man movie “got close” to being made.

For four years, from 2018’s “Venom” movie up until “Venom: The Last Dance” in 2024, a 47-year-old actor played Eddie Brock/Venom. He recently disclosed that his character almost joined forces with Tom Holland’s Spiderman on screen, but due to the complex studio dynamics between Marvel and Sony, this potential blockbuster collaboration was unfortunately not realized.

In an interview with The Playlist, Hardy shared: “We became quite intimate. We were as close as I could ever imagine being, except for collaborating on a movie, which I would have relished because it signifies such a good time.
