Tom Hardy lands next UK-set TV project
As a long-time fan of Tom Hardy’s versatile acting prowess and his knack for bringing characters to life on the silver screen, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the news of his latest project. With his deep, resonant voice narrating Paramount+’s new documentary series, “Special Forces: Most Daring Missions,” Hardy is set to take us on a thrilling journey through real-life military operations that would make even the most dashing superheroes seem ordinary.
Tom Hardy has landed his next UK TV project narrating a new streaming series.
Actor Tom Hardy, known for his role in “Venom”, has agreed to provide voiceovers for the three-part documentary on Paramount+ titled “Special Forces: Most Memorable Missions”. Additionally, he’s joined the project as an executive producer.
The show will focus on real-life assignments conducted by elite military forces, and mainly follows the SAS and its operations during notable incidents, including the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege.
Paramount+’s commissioning editor for factual and non-scripted content, Federico Ruiz, expressed great enthusiasm, stating that one of the biggest actors in Hollywood and a renowned British talent will be lending their voice to our fresh new series,” (according to Deadline).
As you witness their remarkable tales, it becomes evident that the courageous deeds and actions of these soldiers outshine the heroic acts portrayed by many on-screen superheroes.
In simpler terms, Ian Lamarra, the executive producer, commented that Tom Hardy is an ideal narrator for this series. He’s deeply informed, fiercely enthusiastic, and treats the topic with great reverence. His voice also lends a high-quality, rich tone to the series.
Apart from his upcoming role in the third ‘Venom’ film, Hardy is also set to appear in Guy Ritchie’s new series on Paramount+ titled ‘The Associate‘, which stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren alongside him.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say this TV series is all about me and my crew – an elite group of problem solvers based in the heart of London. It delves deep into our professional lives, the intricate business we manage, and the tangled web of personal connections that bind us together.
In this production, Hardy is cast as ‘Harry the Fixer’, whereas both Brosnan and Mirren are set to portray the family’s father and mother roles respectively.
In addition to the role in “Bikeriders”, another actor has been added to the ensemble for the upcoming crime thriller film “Blood on Snow”. This newcomer will be sharing the screen with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and the movie is based on a novel of the same name by Jo Nesbø, who is also responsible for its adaptation.
Elite Operations: Thrilling Missions will likely debut on Paramount+ by the end of the year.
