Tom Hanks used Instagram to pay tribute to longtime wife Rita Wilson on Sunday.
Tom Hanks, age 69, posted a photo of his wife Rita Wilson in a swimsuit to celebrate her 69th birthday.
In a close-up photo, Rita beamed with a bright smile while wearing a wet, black swimsuit with delicate straps.
Tom, who has been married to the singer since 1988, shared a birthday message for her, writing, ‘Happy Birthday to this wonderful woman, who I love very much!’
He soundtracked the post to Rita’s 2025 song W.O.W. (Wild Ol’ Woman).
The couple celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on April 30.

On July 9th, Rita posted a picture of her husband and wished him a happy birthday with the message, ‘Happy Birthday, my love’.
Over their almost forty years together, Tom Hanks and his wife raised two sons: Chet, age 35, and Truman, 29.
The pair met back in 1981 while co-starring on a show called Bosom Buddies.
Tom was married to Samantha Lewes from 1978 to 1987. She was his first wife.
They share a son and daughter, Colin Hanks, 47, and Elizabeth Hanks, 43.
In June, the Academy Award-winning actor publicly addressed the shocking revelations in his daughter’s memoir, which described her difficult upbringing.
While walking the red carpet for his new movie, ‘The Phoenician Scheme,’ the actor discussed his memoir, ‘The 10,’ which details his family and experiences traveling.
In my work, I often find people are curious about the personal lives behind public figures. Elizabeth’s memoir really opens up about the challenging relationship her parents had, specifically with her mother, Samantha Lewes, a wonderful actress who sadly passed away from cancer in 2002. It’s a very honest look at a difficult family dynamic.
He complimented her honesty in sharing a difficult period of her life, adding that he wasn’t surprised by how resilient she was.
‘I’m not surprised that my daughter had the wherewithal as well as the curiosity… in order to examine this thing that I think she was incredibly honest about,’ the Toy Story star told Access Hollywood.
He added that his daughter has been very forthcoming about how the book is being made.
The memoir was released in April and examines Elizabeth’s life growing up with two Hollywood icons.
