Tom Hanks Goes Shirtless on 37th Wedding Anniversary with Rita Wilson

On their 37th wedding anniversary, Tom Hanks posted a photo on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, which highlighted his hairy chest as a special tribute to his spouse, Rita Wilson.

In a simpler, more conversational style: The well-known actor, aged 68 and with nearly 9.3 million Instagram fans, wrote in his post: ‘We’ve been married for 37 years today! I love you, my dear wife.’

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 68-year-old actress-singer paid tribute to her beloved partner, who were seen clad in significantly more attire in her picturesque, rustic photograph taken amidst a lush lawn.

Regarding the key to their long-lasting marriage, Tom shared with E! News last year: ‘Discovering one another was the secret! Isn’t that remarkable?’

In 1981, Tom Hanks was already wedded to his initial spouse, Samantha Lewes, when he first encountered Wilson during her guest appearance on his TV series “Bosom Buddies,” where he played a character who cross-dressed.

In 1985, the twice-Oscar-winning individual officially parted ways with Susan Dillingham (formerly known as Lewes), and their seven-year union was legally dissolved through a divorce in 1987.

Initially known as “The Look How Far We’ve Come” singer, she later assumed the role of stepmother to Tom and Samantha’s children – a son named Colin (age 47) and daughter E.A. (age 42). Subsequently, she gave birth to two sons, Chet (age 34) and Truman (age 29).

In her memoir titled “The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road,” published on April 8, E.A. recounts her tumultuous childhood with a mentally ill mother who passed away at the age of 49 in 2002 due to bone cancer, detailing their unsteady upbringing.

In her first published work spanning 352 pages, this ‘nepo kid’ asserted that their stepfather, Lewes, who may have been unaware of his bipolar condition, often left them and their sibling in a state of hunger due to the extreme fluctuations between abundance and scarcity at home.

April 21 saw Tom Hanks announcing his return to the recording studio for Studio B, where he will once again lend his voice to the character of Woody in Pixar Animation’s upcoming fifth Toy Story movie.

The first four Toy Story films amassed a combined $3.046B at the global box office.

In the upcoming film “The Phoenician Scheme,” directed by Wes Anderson, the role of basketball-loving Leland, who is skilled at hoop shooting, will be played by the TuneIn DJ. This unique spy comedy will premiere in select US and UK theaters on May 30, with a broader US release following on June 6.

This German-produced film boasts a star-studded cast including Benicio del Toro, Riz Ahmed, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Cera, Mia Goth (known as Mia Threapleton), Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis, Imad Mardnli, Bill Murray, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Willem Dafoe, and Ethan Hawke.

Rita is scheduled to make an appearance in the comedy special titled “Joan Rivers: A Dead Funny All-Star Tribute.” This special will be aired on NBC on May 13.

Wilson will additionally take on enigmatic parts in the second installment of AppleTV+’s suspenseful drama, The Last Thing He Told Me, as well as a 10-episode comedy series, Too Much, for Netflix, which was developed by her previous colleague from Girls, Lena Dunham.
