Tom Grennan delights commuters as he performs new Christmas single in London’s St Pancras train station
As a seasoned music enthusiast who has witnessed countless performances at iconic venues worldwide, I must say that the impromptu concerts at St Pancras International Railway Station are truly exceptional. The ability to stumble upon a world-renowned artist like Norah Jones or Alicia Keys while simply waiting for a train is an experience that transcends the ordinary and elevates the mundane journey into something magical.
Tom Grennan shocked Londoners on Thursday as he performed an impressive impromptu festive performance at St Pancras Station.
30-year-old artist delivered a charming Christmas spirit through a mesmerizing rendition of his freshly released Christmas song “It Can’t Be Christmas,” along with fan favorites such as “Little Bit Of Love” and his recently launched hit, “Higher.
Instead of wrapping up, the star donned a cozy burgundy Stone Island jacket and some stylish flared black pants for the show.
He chose a pair of sunglasses with a yellow tint and put on a black baseball hat to finish off his style.
Tom seemed completely at ease as more backup vocalists and a musician appeared, enhancing his act to deliver an impressive, impromptu performance that captivated the attention of passerby.
This year’s fresh release has quickly earned the title of a beloved holiday tune and can only be streamed exclusively on Amazon Music.
As a die-hard admirer, I eagerly stepped into the shoes once filled by the legendary GRAMMY Award recipients, Alicia Keys and Norah Jones, as well as the captivating duo of Rod Stewart and Jools Holland. Previously, they had mesmerized audiences at that bustling London train station – a stage I was now determined to replicate their magic on.
Last year Alicia, 43, showed off her skills on one of the pianos at St Pancras Station.
With a throng of daily travelers congregating, the successful artist showcased her chart-topping tunes such as Empire State of Mind, If I Can’t Have You, and Nobody.
She was spotted donning a sleek leather racing jacket, paired with a black skirt, and completed the look with relaxed black leather boots.
The American vocalist showcased her extraordinary fashion flair by incorporating a chic, high-neck black top into her bold outfit.
As I stood confidently before the grand piano, bathed in the warm glow of the spotlight following my captivating performance, I couldn’t help but radiate joy and beam with pride for the cameras.
In December last year Sir Rod, 79, and Jools, 66, surprised fans with an impromptu performance.
The duo responsible for the 13-song album “Swing Fever,” which they performed together, delivered a lively concert featuring a complete band and chorus backup.
Amidst the throng of spectators, Rod’s wife Penny Lancaster, aged 53, appeared to be thoroughly enjoying herself as she captured moments on her mobile device.
Rod showcased his signature style in a classy manner, donning a cream wool coat, slim-fitting jeans, and leopard patterned footwear.
Meanwhile, Jools opted for a navy polo neck top with smart trousers and a long black coat.
In March, Norah, aged 45, charmed passersby by playing a mix of tunes on the piano at Elton John’s music venue.
The nine-time Grammy-winning American musician journeyed by Eurostar from Paris to London’s train station to perform and play a special piano version of songs like Don’t Know Why and Sunrise, along with two tunes from her latest album titled Visions.
The people present were observed with smiles, leaning forward intently, or capturing the performer on their devices as they filmed.
The star looked in her element as she belted out some of her best hits to passers-by.
At that point, Wendy Spinks, the commercial director of St Pancras and HS1 Ltd, expressed that their station takes pride in hosting public performances, making it a thrilling and vibrant spot for both travelers and shoppers.
It’s fantastic that Norah Jones decided to commemorate her latest album at St Pancras, and I’m certain her impromptu concert put a smile on the faces of station visitors and provided pleasure for everyone.
Since 2007, London St Pancras International (previously simply known as St Pancras) has been a significant train station located within the London Borough of Camden, serving as a central hub for London.
This station serves as the final stop for Eurostar trains arriving from Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, making it a hub that greets countless travelers each year.
At the heart of the bustling train station, you’ll find a magnificent piano that often invites spontaneous playing, leaving passengers amazed by unexpected performances from talented artists throughout the years.
