Actor Tom Ellis, best known for his role in Lucifer, has announced he will reprise his part for the third season of the intriguing and hard-to-resist series Tell Me Lies. He assures fans that they won’t be let down with the upcoming episodes.
In December, it was announced that the popular romantic thriller series, currently streaming on Disney+ in the UK, will return for a third season.

In the second season of “Tell Me Lies,” Ellis entered the series and portrayed Professor Oliver, who embarked on a romantic relationship with Bree, played by Catherine Missal.
At the close of the season, a surprised Bree discovered that Oliver’s wife, Marianne (Gabriella Pession), had been aware of the situation all along, and they were in a relationship where both parties were free to have other romantic involvements.
Earlier speculations hinted at Ellis possibly not reprising his role for a third season, but the actor himself has clarified that he will indeed be returning to portray Oliver once more.
Ellis shared with People that he will indeed be returning, as he’s scheduled to go there this coming Saturday to begin filming. He also mentioned that he’s already gone through the first four episodes of the series.
Anticipating excitement among fans, Ellis hinted that the forthcoming season of the Hulu series will not leave viewers feeling let down.
He remarked that it remains as gloomy, poisonous, and amusing as before. You wouldn’t believe the antics these characters come up with, making you wonder if they could possibly outdo themselves in terms of absurdity, but they always seem to find a way.
Regarding what we can anticipate from Oliver this season, Ellis mentioned: “To put it straightforwardly, my character isn’t taking center stage this time, but it remains significantly connected to the plot of Bree.
Earlier on, the topic of Ellis’s character and a possible comeback was discussed. The show’s creator, who is also Ellis’s real-life spouse (Meaghan Oppenheimer), expressed her doubts to Variety about whether there was much more to be explored in his narrative.
She suggested, “Perhaps it’s time to reintroduce Marianne, as there seems to be more story left untold about her. On the other hand, after seeing Oliver so shattered and empty at the end of this season, I believe we’ve reached a point where Bree should move on from him.
It looks like Oppenheimer had a change of heart, with more to come from Ellis’s Oliver.
Tell Me Lies streams on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
