Tom Cruise Declared ‘Honorary Brit’ After 40 Years in the UK and Strong Ties to Royals

Tom Cruise is being recognized as a ‘symbolic British citizen’, with the British Film Institute planning to honor him for over four decades of filmmaking in the United Kingdom.

An actor from America, aged 62, rumored to possess a property in the high-end district of Biggin Hill, London, initially crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 2020 for consecutive Mission: Impossible movie productions.

He has become quite familiar in the UK, as it turns out. His former acting partner, Sir Kenneth Branagh (age 64), recently disclosed that this well-known Hollywood star has remarkable talent for Cockney rhymes and enjoys visiting traditional English country pubs.

Regarding the BFI Award, Cruise enthusiastically expressed: “I’m deeply touched, I’ve been creating movies in the UK for more than four decades now, and I have no intentions of slowing down.

Branagh, who acted alongside Cruise in 2008’s Valkyrie and continues to be friends with him, said to The Times: ‘He’s practically British now, with a good grasp of Cockney slang, I’ve shared some drinks with him on occasion.’

He seeks out peaceful spots, relishes the ambiance, and remains courteous whenever noticed. His contagious laughter comes naturally, and he seems to thoroughly enjoy every moment of his work, which is infectious.

He has been seen attending Wimbledon, Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party, the coronation of the King, as well as the Platinum Jubilee of the Late Queen. He socialized with British friends such as the Beckham family, Gordon Ramsay, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

For over a year, Cruise has shot some of his most notable films at Pinewood, Leavesden, and Shepperton studios. This includes the 1985 movie Legend, the 1994 film Interview with a Vampire, and Edge of Tomorrow in 2014.

In 2022, he shared with The Mirror his fondness for Britain: “Perhaps I can be called an Anglophile. I often visit the UK, not only for professional purposes but because I genuinely enjoy being here.

This place is a wonderful fusion of the past and present. I adore exploring its landmarks, such as the Tower of London, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace, and numerous other historic sites that brim with charm and history.

Britain, much like many other nations, boasts a unique style that often sets trends which others follow. Moreover, I hold a deep affection for the picturesque landscapes of Britain.

The actor’s bond with the United Kingdom is further strengthened by his daughter Isabella, a makeup artist, aged 32, who resides in Croydon with her British spouse Max Parker.

A person familiar with the actor shared with TopMob that Tom is deeply enamored with all aspects of the United Kingdom, as his child resides there, he appreciates a strong cup of tea, and he relishes the freedom to be authentic.

What stands out most is that he’s cultivated a genuine group of friends, making him happier than I’ve ever known him to be.

Previously, I had the privilege of attending an event alongside William, both donning tuxedos, at the London Air Ambulance Charity gala. A photo of us together was shared on their official Twitter account, accompanied by the caption, “Fancy seeing you here!”.

He’s had the opportunity to mingle with the Princes and Princesses of Wales, the Late Queen Elizabeth, and Princess Diana, and he himself has jokingly referred to King Charles as a potential companion or ally for him.

The royal even made a nod to Cruise, who has donated millions to the charity, in his speech.

In London, the current planes have performed admirably. However, our city requires a newer set of aircraft.

As a devoted adherent, I must admit that time is truly pressing on us. The hint is embedded within the title of the Appeal itself – by September, we urgently require the addition of two cutting-edge red birds, equipped with state-of-the-art gear such as night vision, to grace our skies.

It’s only fitting that I seize this moment to acknowledge another exceptional pilot, none other than Tom Cruise. Tom, I can’t thank you enough for your assistance during our flight tonight.

If it’s not too much trouble, could you please refrain from using either of the new helicopters for the upcoming Mission: Impossible? Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly valued.

It seems like you have a unique perspective on what is considered ‘regular wear and tear’, which differs from others.

‘It’s not the kind that buffs out, that’s for sure.’

Over time, I’ve had the privilege of growing closer to esteemed members of the royal family, sharing a mutual passion for aviation. This connection, which spans decades, has been particularly strengthened by the late and deeply revered Queen herself.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but reflect on the poignant moments leading up to the late monarch’s passing at Windsor Castle. In her final weeks there, she graciously extended an invitation to Tom Cruise for a cozy cup of tea within the hallowed walls of the royal residence.

She found out later that she was disheartened because she hadn’t encountered the celebrity during the Platinum Jubilee festivities, an event that occurred over the summer.

Even though I didn’t get a chance to catch a glimpse of Her Majesty during the week-long festivities, I was thrilled to find myself on the Jubilee stage, where I couldn’t help but express my deep admiration for this remarkable woman. Her grace and dignity are truly inspiring, and her unwavering devotion is something that I deeply respect. The achievements she has made throughout her reign have left an indelible mark in history.

During their encounter, it’s been reported that they got along wonderfully well, and it was clear that the late queen took a liking to him. In fact, she graciously permitted him to touch down his helicopter on the castle’s very own lawn.

Cruise was even invited back for lunch – but the Queen sadly passed away before he could return.

The well-known actress from Hollywood: “She’s simply a lady I hold in high regard. I believe she possesses immense grace, and I am in awe of her dedication.

1) “Her achievements are truly historic; I’ve always recall seeing pictures of her since I was a child.”

2) “Her accomplishments are historically significant – I can still vividly remember looking at her photos from my childhood days.”

3) “Her feats are nothing short of historical, and as a kid, her images were a constant memory for me.”

4) “She’s made history with what she’s done; I remember seeing pictures of her when I was a child like it was yesterday.”

5) “The impact of her accomplishments is historic. As a youngster, I can still recollect seeing images of her.
