Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz’s action-comedy is now on Netflix
The high-octane action flick, “Knight and Day,” featuring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, is now available on Netflix.
2010’s action-comedy, titled thusly, unfurls around June Havens (Diaz), whose world gets flipped when she crosses paths with Roy Miller (Cruise), a rogue CIA operative fleeing from his agency.
Right behind Roy are his coworker John Fitzgerald (Peter Sarsgaard), who has his suspicions that June might be concealing something about her connection with Roy. Simultaneously, it’s possible that Roy himself is keeping secrets, creating a situation of chase and deception, with each one trying to outsmart the other.
15 years after it first hit the screens, directed by James Mangold, the movie can now be streamed on Netflix, giving viewers in the UK and Ireland a chance to watch all its plot twists unfold from the convenience of their homes.
Besides the group mentioned earlier, the ensemble of actors is further expanded to include Viola Davis, Paul Dano, Jordi Mollà, and Falk Hentschel. Additionally, Gal Gadot appears momentarily in the storyline as June, while our main characters, Roy, and June embark on their world tour.
Fans will have a chance to look back at Cruise’s earlier work, but he is also slated to return as Ethan Hunt (apparently for the last time) in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which marks the eighth film in the action series.
After experiencing several setbacks, director Christopher McQuarrie disclosed that the movie will aim to surpass expectations when it comes to action sequences. He explained that he and Tom are always striving to improve their work by questioning themselves on ways they could have made it even more impressive.
As a dedicated enthusiast, I’ve dabbled in underwater scenes before – we tackled them in both ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ and ‘Rogue Nation’. However, upon reflection, those sequences didn’t quite live up to our expectations. So, we delved deep into understanding the reasons behind our dissatisfaction. What were all the challenges that hindered us?
Regarding the main character, it’s important to note that they may lack expertise in the specific field. However, everything depicted in ‘Dead Reckoning’ is essentially an extension or application of knowledge gathered from past events,” he explained further.
Knight and Day is streaming on Netflix.
