As a lifestyle expert with over three decades of personal experiences under my belt, I must say that Tom Brady’s journey as a father is truly inspiring. The way he navigates his complex family dynamics, from being a loving parent to Jack, his son with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, to raising Vivian and Benjamin with his current partner Gisele Bündchen, is nothing short of remarkable.

Jack, who turns 17 on August 22, is almost as tall as his retired professional NFL star dad, 47.
Tom, the father who accompanied his daughter Vivian to the Olympics, was dressed in a black hoodie and black denim pants, sporting Nikes. He conversed with other patrons, including his son, at the sophisticated Italian restaurant run by chef Nancy Silverton.
The former New England Patriot shares Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, 53.
He also has two children with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, daughter Vivian, 11, and son Benjamin, 14.
Jack has followed in his father’s footsteps and is a quarterback on his high school football team.
During his appearance on the “Let’s Go with Tom Brady and Larry Fitzgerald” podcast in October 2022, Brady expressed that he enjoys watching him play quarterback because there aren’t many areas in life where he feels he could assist him.
As someone who has spent countless hours on the field, I don’t claim to be a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to life, but one thing I can certainly lay claim to is my ability to throw a football. That said, I believe I can lend my experience and skills to help guide this promising young talent at quarterback. He may not know it yet, but he’s on the verge of something great.
‘[He has] great hand-eye coordination. He actually moves better than I did at his age,’ he said.
In my journey as a lifestyle expert, I discovered that I was expecting a child with my ex, Brady, who had already parted ways with me and had found love in Gisele Bündchen. This revelation occurred after our relationship had ended.
He spoke about that time in his life in an interview with Howard Stern in 2020.
‘Next thing you know, I found out that Bridget was pregnant with our son,’ he said.
That period was quite extraordinary… It pushed me to evolve in unconventional manners. My wife found it particularly difficult to reconcile her feelings for the man she fell in love with, only to discover that his former girlfriend is expecting a child.
As a devoted fan, I must confess, it wasn’t what his mother had foreseen – quite the contrary! The challenges were numerous and daunting, a path less trodden indeed.
Moynahan got candid on that time in her life in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2008.
She shared with the publication that experiencing the distressing period of heartbreak, followed by pregnancy, completely overturned and disoriented my entire life, leaving me breathless.
‘But I got so much out of that … Now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.’
In her memoir, “Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life”, Gisele Bündchen expressed that discovering Tom Brady was expecting a child with Moynahan left her feeling like everything had been flipped or inverted.
She shared that Brady learned from her, during their two-month relationship, that Moynahan was pregnant.
About two months into our romance, Tom revealed that his former girlfriend was expecting a child. The following day, this information spread like wildfire, leaving me feeling as if my life had been flipped on its head, as expressed by the retired Victoria’s Secret Angel model in her writing.
Prior to his romance with the fashion model, he was involved with actress Bridget from 2004 until 2006. During this period, she conceived around November or the beginning of December.
Gisele says she met Tom on a blind date in December 2006. Jack was born in August 22, 2007.
During that period, both Gisele and Tom faced difficult times, yet she emphasized the importance of providing ’emotional sustenance’ or ‘a helping hand’ to him through those challenging phases in their life together.
She remembered thinking that she wanted to support Jack and Tom, offer assistance wherever possible, and foster a strong bond between them, aiming to establish a sense of stability in their lives.
Despite being shaken up by the events, the mother of two disclosed that John, also known as Jack, their grandson of Brady and Bridget, had turned out to be an unexpected source of joy. She attributed him for expanding her heart in ways she hadn’t thought were possible.
Besides this, she shared that she affectionately calls Jack her “extraordinary addition” and that his arrival prompted her and her partner, Tom, to start their family earlier than initially planned, ensuring that their children would share a similar age group, thereby fostering a strong sibling bond.
And Moynahan and Brady have established a copacetic co-parenting system over the years.
She shared with People that Tom and herself had chosen to jointly nurture a child, and luckily, we each found companions who didn’t just aid us in this parenting journey, but cherished the child as if they were their very own.
From my personal perspective as a parent, I can confidently say that one simply cannot ask for more than what I have been blessed with. My son is immersed in love from all corners – his mother and myself, of course, but also an endless array of grandparents who shower him with affection and care. It’s truly a remarkable experience to witness the bond they share, and I am grateful every day for this wonderful life we have built together.
