Tom Arnold reveals his ‘craziest’ ex-wife after Roseanne Barr marriage

Comedian Tom Arnold’s tour name, ‘My Crazy X-Wife,’ reflects his personal life – he’s been married and divorced four times, with his marriage to Roseanne Barr being his most well-known.

Comedian Roseanne Barr, 66, told Us Weekly last Friday that people often recognize her when the topic of difficult ex-wives comes up, saying they immediately think of her.

I thought to myself, “She doesn’t even compare to my most difficult ex-wife, mainly because we didn’t have children together.” The most damaging thing she did was reveal personal information – specifically, my penis size – on Saturday Night Live. That’s something you’re supposed to keep private forever.”

Tom then wisecracked: ‘Even a 747 looks small when it flies over the Grand Canyon.’

Arnold first encountered the 72-year-old Emmy-winning actress in 1983 when he performed as her opening act in Minneapolis. She later hired him in 1989 to write for her ABC sitcom.

In 1990, actress Roseanne Barr, known for her role in ‘Fubar,’ married Tom Arnold. This happened just four days after her divorce from her first husband, Bill Pentland – with whom she shares three children – was completed. Roseanne famously had ‘Property of Tom Arnold’ tattooed on her hip.

Tom played the character Arnie Thomas on the show *Roseanne* and appeared in 20 episodes. His four-year marriage ended in 1994, the same year he landed a role as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s partner in the hit movie *True Lies*.

I remember hearing Arnold talk about his divorce with Howard Stern, and he said his agreement meant he was entitled to more than $20 million from Roseanne Barr’s assets. He even mentioned getting a cut of the profits from her hugely successful show, which honestly seemed wild at the time!

The comedian, originally from Iowa, was married to Julie Armstrong from 1995 to 1999 and then to Shelby Roos from 2002 to 2008.

Tom only has children with his fourth ex-wife, Ashley Groussman. They share custody of their two children – a 12-year-old son named Jax and a 9-year-old daughter named Quinn – after a very expensive and drawn-out legal battle that reportedly cost millions.

In 2019, after ten years of marriage, Arnold’s wife, the founder of Home Attunement, accused him of domestic violence. However, a judge later dismissed the claims, finding them to be without basis in July.

I’m so relieved to finally be able to say the truth is out there! After a lot of negativity and attempts to undermine me, things are finally coming to light, as I shared back in July.

This has been a really tough time for me and my health, but especially hard on our kids. I’m so thankful for everyone who supported me through it all.

Comedian Tom will be performing his My Crazy X-Wife Tour at the Summit City Comedy Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from October 23rd to 25th.

Arnold Schwarzenegger jokingly admitted that having four ex-wives forces you to realize the problem lies with yourself. He explained that while three ex-wives might make someone question the other person, four clearly points to a pattern on their own part.

‘And it is me, 100 percent.’

The award-winning actor explained that even with everything that’s happened, it’s important to find the humor in it. He expressed gratitude for each day, saying it likely helps him be a better father and appreciate what he has.

Tom finished directing his first feature film, The Breakup Pill, on May 11th. He also stars in the comedy as a character named Dr. Evan.

I’m keeping a close eye on Arnold’s next projects – he’s really branching out! He’s diving into the horror-comedy world with a film called *Mermaid*, where he’ll be acting alongside Robert Patrick. And for those who prefer a bit more action, he’s also got *The Gun on Second Street*, a dramatic thriller with Rumer Willis. It’s a really diverse lineup, and I’m excited to see what he does with these roles!
