Tom and Giovanna Fletcher’s Son Buzz Lands Major West End Role at Just 10!

Tom Fletcher, lead singer of McFly, and his spouse, Giovanna, now boast an additional shining talent within their household, as their ten-year-old son, Buzz, has made his debut in the spotlight.

Over the weekend, Buzz stepped onto the West End stage for the first time, assuming a recurring part in the legendary musical “Starlight Express,” penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

39-year-old mother Giovanna beamed with joy on Instagram, sharing a heartwarming video of her son, as he skipped towards the theater, clutching his script tightly – marking his first major career milestone.

Subsequently, she revealed brief moments of her oldest child performing on stage, dressed up, dancing and synchronizing his singing with the enthusiastic audience.

The podcaster, who is also the winner of I’m A Celebrity, shared: “For some time now, we’ve been keeping a secret, but tonight was the night for racing! Our talented Buzz made his first appearance as Control in the breathtaking Starlight Express.

Watching him stride confidently onto the stage, I was struck speechless by an indescribable mix of pride and jitters. As he began with his opening lines, it transformed into pure awe as he delivered an extraordinary performance. The magic that unfolded on that stage is etched in our memories forever – a moment we’ll cherish and never forget!

I can’t express my gratitude enough to the entire Starlight team for having faith in him and offering him an incredible chance to be involved in this extraordinary production.

I’m completely smitten with this! It turns out that my Enzo shares the same dream – he’s so determined that in two years, he’ll be old enough to play ‘Control Bravo Buzz’!

Additionally, it seems that there’s more on the horizon for Buzz, as he’s also scheduled to be featured in the upcoming CBBC show titled “Andy and the Band.” This program is set to debut on television later in the current year.

Ever since Giovanna, my cherished idol, confided that her 12-year marriage to the one and only Tom hit a snag while penning our beloved teen fiction duo, I’ve been pondering over the reason. It seems their creative rift occurred when she dared to push the storyline boundaries, taking it further than he could stomach.

In 2018, these two well-known writers revealed they were collaborating on a series of three dystopian novels called “The Eve of Man.” They released the last book in this series in 2021.

Regarding our collaborative writing process, Giovanna commented: “At times, we encountered creative disputes. One instance stood out where I took a character’s actions to an extreme, making them quite violent. Tom responded by saying: ‘It’s over the line. You’ve pushed it a bit too far.’

Initially, I may have sounded a bit testy about it. Instead of saying, “I’ll do it,” I responded with reluctance, so I decided to make the change. Later on in the text, his character ended up doing exactly that. This left me feeling puzzled. In the end, the editor chose to remove it from the manuscript.

They first crossed paths at the age of 13, both attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Just a few days after seeing her, Tom invited Giovanna out on a date.

Come springtime, I learned he’d callously let her go just a couple of days prior, and for years afterward, it seemed like an endless struggle to regain her heart through humble apologies and pleas for forgiveness.

In 2011, Giovanna shared an account on Auto Trader’s Show on the Road podcast about an unexpected emotional proposal by her partner Tom. McFly, their band, were filming a documentary for Channel 5 titled ‘McFly on the Wall’. On one particular day, Tom sent a message suggesting they revisit all their old schools since they had gone to school together. Giovanna agreed enthusiastically, thinking nothing of it being a proposal. However, she had no inkling whatsoever that it was going to be a proposal; not even the tiniest part of her suspected it. So, she accompanied Tom and found herself surprised when he made his romantic gesture.

‘I can remember I got to the school and I think he texted me saying, go around to the back door.

Upon opening, I found a sight filled with candles and petals, prompting me to swiftly close the door. The scene left me momentarily bewildered, thinking aloud, “Oh my goodness, what on earth is happening?

Upon entering, the room was filled with candles, and rose petals were strewn about amidst the dust. The sight was breathtakingly beautiful. In what was once Studio One, Tom positioned himself, reminiscent of our first encounter at Sylvia’s. He had arranged everything so that he proposed to me in Studio One, at the very spot where we initially met.

In this narrative, the events unfolding are recounted from Eve’s perspective, as penned by Giovanna. Meanwhile, it is Tom who crafts the intriguing character of Bram, Eve’s unusual love interest.

Tom’s popular children’s book, “The Christmasaurus,” has already sold more than 2.5 million copies within the United Kingdom. Currently, it’s under development as a full-length film by the acclaimed director of “The Greatest Showman.” Additionally, the songs for this movie are being crafted by the talented musician from Busted.
