The popular series Tokyo Revengers is now available on mobile devices in a new form. GOOD SMILE COMPANY has released Tokyo Revengers UNLIMITED, the latest game based on the hit delinquent manga, and it’s officially launched in Japan for both Android and iOS.
The game features fast-paced, real-time battles. You create a team from a diverse roster of characters including members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Valhalla, Black Dragon, Tenjiku, and others. Success depends on strategic team building and well-timed special attacks, not just rapidly pressing buttons.
The gameplay features real-time fighting battles based on Tokyo Revengers arcs and characters
The game features a system for developing your characters and building relationships, and getting to know them better actually gives you an edge in fights. It blends a strong story with team-based battles, which really captures the spirit of Tokyo Revengers.
Considering how popular Tokyo Revengers is, this new game feels like a genuine effort to create a successful and enduring adaptation. There’s good reason to believe it will succeed, as many well-known creators are working on the project.
LIDEN FILMS handled the animation, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music. The original voice actors have also returned to reprise their roles. The story was written by Seiko Takagi, who previously wrote scripts for the TV anime series.
The game features original stories directly overseen by manga author Ken Wakui. It includes key story arcs like the August 3rd Conflict, Bloody Halloween, Christmas Eve Showdown, and the Tenjiku Arc, plus over 100 fully voiced side stories. That’s a huge amount of content for fans to enjoy!
The series previously released a large-scale game, Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission, as a 3D action RPG for mobile and PC in Japan in 2024. Unfortunately, the game was canceled before it could be released internationally.
UNLIMITED seems great at first glance, but it remains to be seen if it can stay popular and grow beyond its current audience. If the idea appeals to you, the game is available now for both Android and iOS devices.
