GeoGuessr’s World Tour brings the geolocation game across the globe.
GeoGuessr is elevating its competitive scene with the introduction of the GeoGuessr World Tour. This marks the first time in its history that the geolocation game will travel to various destinations around the world. The season will include three Major regional tournaments culminating in the World Finals held in Copenhagen. With a prize pool surpassing $200,000, this worldwide tour represents an exciting new development for GeoGuessr.
GeoGuessr World Tour Majors across Three Continents
The exciting journey of GeoGuessr World Tour begins with three significant events across Asia, the Americas, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). At each event, the top regional contenders will compete, aiming to qualify for the Grand Finale. Here’s what we have so far about the Majors.

APAC Major: Tokyo Tower, Japan (May 18)
In collaboration with PLAYBRAIN Inc., we are excited to introduce the Asia-Pacific Major tournament at the famous Tokyo Tower. Competitors hailing from all over Asia will battle it out for their chance to claim a portion of the $17,500 prize money.
It’s thrilling to witness the first Asian debut of GeoGuessr LAN tournaments! The GeoGuessr community here has experienced remarkable growth, and we can hardly contain our excitement to display the talent and enthusiasm of our local players on stage for everyone to see!
Michael Sheetal, Founder / CEO, Playbrain Inc.
Americas Major: DreamHack Dallas, USA (May 23-25)
GeoGuessr World Tour participates in the excitement at DreamHack Dallas during the Americas Major. The tournament, similar to APAC’s prize pool of $17,500, will run concurrently with events like IEM Dallas 2025 for CS:2 and CDL Major IV for Call of Duty.
At DreamHack, the top talents in gaming, content creation, and competition come together under one venue. We can’t wait to welcome tens of thousands of enthusiasts to witness some of the best GeoGuessr players battle it out, as part of our impressive event schedule.
Guy Blomberg, Director of Festivals, North America, DreamHac
EMEA Major: Glitched, Jönköping, Sweden (Jun. 13-15)
Top gaming talents from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will go head-to-head at the EMEA Major in Sweden. Originally scheduled for DreamHack’s Jönköping venue, the Glitched gaming festival has stepped up to host the competition instead. Kicking off in 2025, the event promises a large-scale LAN, an expo, and various esports competitions. The EMEA Major will mark the concluding leg of the GeoGuessr World Tour before the Copenhagen finals, boasting a prize pool of $25,000.
It’s thrilling to have GeoGuessr back at Glitched 2025, inviting top-tier GeoGuessr players to Sweden once more! We’ve got some amazing competitions and activities lined up for everyone attending, and we can’t wait to welcome new GeoGuessr enthusiasts after the event. This is going to be an unforgettable experience!
Copenhagen to host GeoGuessr World Cup Finals
The GeoGuessr World Tour concludes at the famous KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark. This thrilling event happens on August 29-30 and brings together the top 16 players from the Majors and the GeoGuessr World League. Being the first in GeoGuessr history with a prize pool of $100,000, this two-day competition is set to be the most exhilarating and high-stakes GeoGuessr event yet!
