Actor Todd Bridges and Bettijo B. Hirschi are headed separate ways after three years of marriage.
After careful consideration, my spouse and I have decided to separate, I shared with The Times on Thursday. This was a very difficult decision made with both sadness and appreciation for the life we built together.

Entertainment & Arts
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of John Forté. He was a tremendously talented musician, even earning a Grammy nomination, and his story was incredibly moving. After serving seven years of a 14-year federal prison sentence – a sentence that was thankfully commuted by President Bush – he continued to create and inspire. It’s a real loss for the music world.
Brian Bridges, 60, and his wife met in January 2022 and were married nine months later, following a short engagement. This was the second marriage for each of them. Hirschi shared with Tamron Hall that a friend helped her create a new online dating profile and showed it to Bridges to get his opinion. The friend then let Hirschi know that Bridges was interested in contacting her.
“She’s a lot like my mom,” Bridges told Hall.
I’m grateful for the time we shared, the things we learned from each other, and the family we created,” Bridges shared. “Even though we’re going through changes, I believe we’re both being led towards healing, peace, and fresh starts. I’m asking for privacy as we adjust to this new phase, and I’ll continue to pray for my former partner, hoping they find happiness and success in the future.”
Josh Bridges and his partner got married in September 2022 at Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills, with around 70 guests, according to People magazine. Before this, Bridges was married to Dori Smith for 14 years, from 1998 to 2012.
The marriage blended their families, creating a new one. Hirschi brought four children from her previous marriage, while Bridges has two grown children. His daughter, Bo, is from a relationship with Amanda Rushing, and he shares a 27-year-old son, Spencir, with his first wife. Spencir followed in his father’s footsteps as an actor, appearing in projects like the 2007 film “Daddy Day Camp” and the 2005 TV series “ER.” He last acted in 2009, with roles in “iCarly” and the TV movie “The Three Gifts.”

Music
Long Beach’s new professional baseball team, Long Beach Coast, will also be known as the Long Beach Regulators. Rapper Warren G is one of the team’s owners.
Todd Bridges is the only original cast member of the popular 1970s and 80s sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” who is still alive. The show, which aired from 1978 to 1986, starred Conrad Bain as Phillip Drummond, a wealthy man who adopted two sons, Arnold (played by Gary Coleman) and Willis (Todd Bridges), after taking in his daughter Kimberly (Dana Plato). Charlotte Rae played the Drummonds’ housekeeper, Edna Garrett, and her character later went on to star in the spin-off series “Facts of Life.”
Dana Plato, known for her role as Kimberly on the show, tragically passed away in 1999 at the age of 34 due to an overdose. Jack Bain died of natural causes in January 2013 at 89, and Norman Rae followed in August 2018 at the age of 92.
Gary Coleman passed away in May 2010 at the age of 42. He suffered a brain hemorrhage after accidentally falling at his home in Utah.
TMZ first reported the divorce news Wednesday afternoon.
