Today show host Karl Stefanovic shares steamy exchange with tennis star Nick Kyrgios during live interview

Karl Stefanovic, host of the Today show, had a playfully flirtatious conversation with Nick Kyrgios during a live interview on Thursday.

While interviewing the tennis star about his new partnership with Zeus Street Greek, the 51-year-old interviewer joked about trying the wrap Kyrgios helped design.

Karl said, ‘I have your device here, and I’m going to examine it closely, just as I plan to spend time with you this summer.’

Kyrgios responded: ‘Just imagine it’s me, get in there.’

Karl then burst into laughter before he decided to take a large bite of the Greek wrap.

Sarah Abo, Nick’s co-host, questioned his statement, advising him to be cautious. She described his words as a significant claim.

Kyrgios then joked: ‘That’s as close as you’ll get to the real thing.’

‘Oh Nick, it’s so good,’ Karl joked.

The dish reflects Nick Kyrgios’ family background, combining Greek and Malaysian flavors in a chicken pita with sambal and tamarind aioli. It’s served with chips and his own Stryda Lager.

The athlete also talked about his upcoming match against Aryna Sabalenka, which is being billed as a Battle of the Sexes.

Nick said he feels the ‘best he has felt physically’.

He acknowledged it had been a difficult journey, especially with having to go through a couple of surgeries.

‘But I didn’t give up and I’m finally here and and able to go out there and do what I do best.’

Aryna Sabalenka, the world’s top-ranked female tennis player, will play Nick Kyrgios in an exhibition match in Dubai on December 28th. Kyrgios is currently ranked 652nd among male players. The match will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena.

This will be the fourth match in the Battle of the Sexes series, a concept that gained popularity in the 1970s with the famous match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs.

Sabalenka comes into the match fresh off a supremely successful year in which she won the US Open.

I’ve been following Kyrgios, and it’s been tough to watch him this year. He’s only played a handful of matches – just five, actually – and his most recent outing at the Miami Open ended pretty quickly with a loss in the second round. It wasn’t a great result, to say the least.
