Although Robbie’s recent film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, didn’t earn huge profits at the cinema, her next romantic movie is expected to do much better. She’ll be starring in Emerald Fennell’s new version of Emily Brontë’s classic novel, Wuthering Heights, which will be released in February, just in time for Valentine’s Day, and she plays the main character in the story.
Jacob Elordi will play Heathcliff opposite Robbie, and the film also stars Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. It’s scheduled for release on February 13th and has already generated some buzz. However, it’s unclear if it will perform better at the box office than A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, which only earned $20 million.
