Tobey Maguire reunites with ex Jennifer Meyer and daughter in rare photo… 5 years after finalizing divorce

On Monday, Tobey Maguire joyfully marked the high school graduation of his daughter Ruby alongside his former wife Jennifer Meyer, beaming with fatherly pride.

49-year-old actor from Spider-Man was spotted again with his ex-spouse, aged 48, in heartwarming images posted on her Instagram account, marking five years since the conclusion of their divorce proceedings.

At that heartwarming event, I couldn’t help but snap a picture where my beloved idols, their history intertwined by a 16-year-old marvel named Otis, were seen in a tender embrace. The 18-year-old beauty was nestled between them, cradling a stunning bouquet of pink roses. Quite the scene it was!

With Jennifer, who recently became engaged to billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi, sporting a broad grin, and both of them beaming, Jennifer was seen proudly holding her daughter’s diploma from the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, California.

In the next photograph, Ruby could be seen radiating joy while being encompassed by several of her relatives, among them her renowned father, who’s also a jewelry designer.

Jennifer congratulated Ruby by saying, ‘Wonderful job, Ruby!!! You’ve graduated as our dream student! We’re incredibly proud of you on all fronts and adore you to pieces ♥️.’

Leonardo DiCaprio’s good friend chose a relaxed yet stylish appearance for the school gathering, donning a gray tee, dark sunglasses, and a baseball cap.

Jennifer looked chic in a green spaghetti strap dress. 

Simultaneously, Ruby donned her cap and gown with pride, as evidenced by one snapshot where she struck a pose at home, flanked by a large balloon banner displaying her name and graduation year in pink letters.

Yet another snap saw the mother and daughter posing together and smiling for the camera. 

Fashion designer Rachel Zoe commented on Jennifer’s post, writing ‘We love you RUBY!!!!’ 

Australian actress Isla Fisher added, ‘Wha? That’s gone so fast…. Mazel Tov!’ 

Mandy Ingber from Teen Witch fame expressed, ‘Ruby is stunning, and it’s always a pleasure to see Tobey. Sending love and congratulations! You truly accomplished it! 💕💕💕 This fills my heart with joy!’

Jeff Bezos’ fiancee, Lauren Sanchez, added her own congratulations by saying, “Sweetheart, congratulations ❤️❤️❤️.

Ruby’s not the only child of famous parents graduating from Crossroads this year.

Among the 2025 graduates, Patrick Dempsey’s twin sons, Darby and Sullivan, who are stars in their own right, were included as well (Grey’s Anatomy actor).

Tobey and Jennifer divorced in 2020, ending their nine-year marriage.

2016 saw them part ways, expressing in their declaration: “Following extensive introspection and deliberation, we’ve decided to go our separate ways as a romantic duo. As deeply committed parents, our top priority continues to be nurturing our children with unwavering love, respect, and camaraderie.

She’s now in a relationship with Geoffrey, who is the offspring of Nigerian tycoon Adebayo Ogunlesi and has inherited his wealth.

In December, Jennifer was spotted with her fiance and her son during a rare outing together.

The trio were seen shopping for a Christmas tree.

Jennifer and Geoffrey became engaged in September.

The mom of two excitedly exclaimed ‘Yes!’ in her Instagram post’s caption, accompanied by a black heart, an infinity sign, and sparkling star emojis.

In November 2023, Jennifer, who is friends with Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, officially stepped onto the red carpet with her boyfriend Geoffrey, following several months of dating.

Jennifer is the child of Ronald Meyer, a co-founder of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), who previously held executive positions at NBC and served as COO/President of Universal.

Seven years following her separation from Tobey, and three years subsequent to the divorce filing, she made her first appearance on a red carpet alongside Geoffrey.

During this time, Tobey was seen spending intimate moments with the 22-year-old Danish model, Mona Tougaard, approximately a month following Meyer’s announcement of her engagement.

During his summer holiday, he was reportedly associated with several young women, while he was traveling between Europe and New York City.

In the year 2003, Jennifer crossed paths with Tobey when he was filming Seabiscuit. A few years down the line, they became engaged, and in November of 2006, they were blessed with a child named Ruby.

They went on to marry the following year, and welcomed their second child, son Otis, in 2009.

Meyer has credited ‘angel’ Gwyneth Paltrow for her amicable divorce from the actor.

Gwyneth Paltrow, aged 51, faced widespread mockery when she referred to her divorce from Chris Martin, also 47 and a member of the band Coldplay, as a “conscious separation” back in 2014.

But Meyer said the actress’ amicable split helped her navigate her own divorce from Maguire.

On the Broad Ideas podcast, jewelry designer Meyer expressed: “When Tobey and I were parting ways, I noticed Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris adopting a mindful separation – a concept humorously dubbed ‘conscious uncoupling’ by many.

“I directly experienced it, and it was an incredibly stunning sight – a unique display of affection between two individuals. Her love, kindness, and generosity were evident, making them a truly wonderful family.

As I pondered upon this new perspective, my thoughts echoed, “This isn’t what I was accustomed to as a child. My upbringing instilled in me the belief that divorce was an unpleasant, even unacceptable, reality.

Meyer inquired of Paltrow, “Could you explain how you managed that situation? I’m finding myself a bit lost as we’re about to part ways, and it’s causing quite a scare. … How might we unite for the sake of the children we both care deeply for? What steps should we take?

Meyer stated that Paltrow did not disclose the method or any details about it to him.

Meyer stated that she struck it rich with ex-husbands, particularly Maguire, and mentioned that despite their divorce, they remained the best of friends for many years.
