Fans of Titus Welliver will be glad to know he’s returning to the world of crime dramas with season 4 of Dark Winds. Since Bosch: Legacy ended in April, Welliver has remained active, briefly reprising his role as Harry Bosch in the Ballard series. He’s also taking on a new role in The Westies, a drama on MGM+ that tells the story of the notorious Irish gang.
Adam Welliver is joining the cast of Dark Winds for its fourth season, bringing his experience to the popular AMC series. The show, which premiered in June 2022, is based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee book series and features Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon as Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. Jessica Matten also stars as Bernadette Manuelito. George R. R. Martin and the late Robert Redford served as executive producers.
A new video offers fans their first glimpse of Timothy Welliver as Dominic McNair, the new villain in the upcoming season of Dark Winds. The short clip features Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, and Matten discussing the challenging scenes viewers can expect. Welliver confirms the details in a preview for season 4, which will debut on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, February 15th at 9 PM. You can watch the clip below.
Welliver, known for his role as Bosch, will be joining the cast of Dark Winds as a new type of character. He’ll play McNair, a cold-hearted crime boss who deals in drugs and stolen high-end items, moving them around Los Angeles. Other new cast members this season include Franka Potente, Isabel DeRoy-Olson, Billie Tsosie, Chaske Spencer, and Luke Barnett. A. Martinez will also be returning as Gordo Sena.
Following the dramatic conclusion of Dark Winds season 3, the new season will center around the search for a missing Navajo girl. The investigation will lead detectives Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito away from their home in Navajo Nation and into the dangerous streets of 1970s Los Angeles, as they work to rescue her from a dangerous killer connected to a criminal organization. John Wirth will return as showrunner.
