Titus Welliver is officially returning to the role of Harry Bosch later this year.
Coming in July 2025, Ballard is a new series based on the character created by Michael Connelly. It stars Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard, who heads up a Los Angeles cold case unit that’s short on funding but full of dedicated volunteers.
The cast of Ballard features Courtney Taylor, Michael Mosley, Rebecca Field, Victoria Moroles, Amy Hill, and John Carroll Lynch. Titus Welliver, known for his role in Bosch, also makes a guest appearance. The Prime Video crime series received positive reviews and a good number of viewers, leading to a renewal for a second season in October, shortly after it first aired.
According to Deadline, the second season of Ballard will debut later this year, with Titus Welliver returning as Bosch. The news came alongside the announcement that Benjamin Bratt, known for his work on Law & Order, has joined the cast.
Bratt will star as Ryan Ainsley, an ex-DEA agent who traded in the dangerous world of drug trafficking for a peaceful life running a ranch in Idaho.
