I’ve been a huge fan of this incredible actress ever since I first saw her in Titanic! It’s amazing to think that movie came out way back in 1997, and she was absolutely captivating in it. It’s even cooler knowing she’s originally from the UK!
The 73-year-old actor was recently seen looking remarkably young while out in Los Angeles.
She looked completely different without her usual red-brown hair. She was sporting long, blonde hair styled in a loose braid under a red beanie.
The actress became well-known almost 34 years ago when she starred in a highly praised Western movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
Before her film work, she was a major presence in theater for more than ten years, and she famously played a detective on a popular ABC daytime drama.
The actress has a well-known dating history, including a relationship with George Clooney. She also has a daughter with a highly acclaimed director and actor who has won five Academy Awards.
The mystery actress is Frances Fisher.
Fisher stepped out alone in Los Angeles on the afternoon of Sunday, January 11.
The actress, known for her role in The Unforgiven, was wearing a warm black puffer jacket with a fur-lined hood as she walked through a parking lot.
She completed her outfit with skinny jeans, a black V-neck top and stylish metal toe boots.
Balancing a water bottle and her phone, she dug through her black purse.
Carrie Fisher was a celebrated actress, most famously known for her role as the strict mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, in the blockbuster film Titanic, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
As someone who’s always believed a varied life breeds creativity, I can definitely relate to Carrie Fisher’s upbringing! She was born in Milford on Sea, England, back in 1952, and while her parents were American, she didn’t have a typical rooted childhood. Her dad worked at an oil refinery, which meant the family moved around a lot – she spent time growing up in places like Brazil and France, giving her a wonderfully international perspective from a young age.
Her mother died when she was just 15 years old.
Fisher found her love of acting while attending high school in Texas.
After that, Fisher launched a successful acting career in New York City, training with the renowned Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio.
In 1976, she started her television career playing Detective Deborah Saxon on the CBS daytime drama, The Edge of Night. She was a regular on the show for five years, until 1981.
She’s also appeared in several popular TV shows, including Guiding Light, Roseanne, Grey’s Anatomy, Matlock, Two and a Half Men, and, more recently, HBO’s Watchmen.
Fisher’s film debut came in 1983 in the R-rated comedy Can She Bake a Cherry Pie?
Six years later, she would be cast alongside Clint Eastwood in the action flick Pink Cadillac.
The actors began dating in the late 1980s and were together for about six years. They had one child, a daughter named Francesca Eastwood, who was born in 1993 and is now 32 years old.
Before that, Fisher had been married to a man named Billy Mack Hamilton from 1970 to 1972.
In 1992, Clint Eastwood directed Shelley Duvall in his acclaimed Western, Unforgiven, a film many consider to be her big break.
Five years after that, she played a leading role in the blockbuster film Titanic, which also won an Oscar and truly established her as a major star in Hollywood.
Fisher also appeared in several other well-known films, including Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), Laws of Attraction (2004), Jolene (2006), and The Lincoln Lawyer (2011).
Fisher’s latest role was in the Netflix movie The Wrong Paris, released in September 2025, alongside Miranda Cosgrove, known from Nickelodeon.
Francesca Fisher-Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, has recently begun a career in acting, like both of her famous parents.
The 32-year-old actress is recognized for her work in several films, including Jersey Boys (2014), Final Girl (2015), Outlaws and Angels (2016), M.F.A. (2017), The Vault (2017), and Old (2021).
This rising star also appeared on a reality TV show. She and her family previously starred in the E! series, Mrs. Eastwood & Company, though it only lasted for one season.
Carrie Fisher first became a grandmother in 2018 when her daughter Francesca’s son, Titan, was born. Titan’s father is Francesca’s partner, Alexander Wraith.
The couple had a second son in October 2025. Francesca hasn’t shared his name yet.
In 2019, Fisher gave rare comment about being a grandmother and how much she enjoys it.
She told Closer Weekly that she’s really enjoying herself and loves babysitting whenever she gets the chance.
Fisher also complimented her daughter’s parenting, calling her a ‘fabulous’ mother.
She’s amazing, and it’s lovely to see how much she adores her baby. It’s wonderful to see this softer side of her personality.
Fisher expressed hope that Francesca’s child would eventually understand the effort and dedication Fisher invested in them, noting that the child was now treating someone else the same way.
