Titanic musical releases first look at Layton Williams as The Iceberg
As a musical theater enthusiast with a soft spot for nostalgia and a hearty appreciation for iconic films, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming production of “Titanique.” Having grown up listening to Celine Dion’s timeless hits, I am thrilled to see how they will be reimagined in this comedic musical retelling of the beloved 1997 movie.
Titanic musical Titanique has released a first look at Layton Williams in his role as The Iceberg.
Under the direction of Tye Blue, this comedy-musical takes a fresh angle on the classic 1997 film, focusing on the story as seen through the eyes of Céline Dion, who famously sang the hit song “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic.
In this unique theatrical adventure filled with nostalgia, emotion, and a touch of zany disorder, the “Strictly” celebrity will perform alongside Darren Bennett (portraying Victor Garber/Luigi), Lauren Drew (as Céline Dion), Jordan Luke Gage (Cal), Stephen Guarino (Ruth), Rob Houchen (Jack), Kat Ronney (Rose), and Charlotte Wakefield (Molly Brown).
Are you curious about what truly transpired between Jack and Rose on that tragic night? Let Céline Dion captivate you with her unique interpretation, as she revisits the cherished scenes and figures of Titanic using her iconic song library,” is a more natural and easily readable paraphrase.
Initially staged off-Broadway in New York City back in 2022, the critically acclaimed play titled “Titanique” made its London premiere this week on December 9. Performances will continue at the Criterion Theatre until March 30, 2025.
You can purchase tickets right now through TodayTix, LoveTheatre, and various other platforms. The ticket prices start at a minimum of £15.
The audience is in for a treat as they’ll witness captivating renditions of several popular Dion songs such as ‘My Heart Will Go On’, ‘All by Myself’, and ‘To Love you More’. These songs will be accompanied by a lively band performance throughout the show.
Previously, producer Eva Price expressed that working on the production of “Titanique” has been an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. She feels incredibly thankful as performances are taking place globally, but she’s absolutely overjoyed to be making her way to the West End.
It brings me great joy to announce that our performance will take place at the prestigious Criterion Theatre, right in the heart of London, which has a long history of presenting top-notch entertainment.
Titanique opened on December 9 at the Criterion Theatre in London’s West End.
