Tinkatink debuts into Pokémon GO as part of Horizons Celebration Event

Pokémon GO is celebrating the Horizons Series and Tinkatink is joining us for the party!

Pokémon GO is planning a special occasion to coincide with the launch of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2, happening later this month. During this event, we will introduce Tinkatink and its evolutionary forms into the game for the first time. Furthermore, there are some thrilling costumed Pokémon on offer, such as the reappearance of Captain Hat Pikachu.

The occasion also offers some thrilling perks, such as increased chances of encountering shiny-version Pokémon among the playable ones and an opportunity to capture special event photos.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in Pokémon GO

The Pokémon GO Horizons Celebration event spans from Wednesday, April 16, starting at 10:00 a.m., right up until Tuesday, April 22, wrapping up at 8:00 p.m. This provides ample opportunity to immerse yourself in all the exciting activities available during this period.

Tinkatink debuts in Pokémon GO

One thrilling aspect of this upcoming event is the arrival of Tinkatink in Pokémon GO, accompanied by its two evolutions, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton. To evolve Tinkatink, you’ll need 25 candy, followed by another 100 candy to evolve Tinkatuff. However, at this time, Tinkatink cannot be a shiny Pokémon.

In Pokémon GO for the very first time, you’ll encounter Floragato sporting Liko’s pin on its hat. For the first time, this Pokémon will appear in a shiny version, making it an exciting catch and potentially a rare addition to your collection. Good luck being one of the first to capture it!

Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will be active during the event:

  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently.
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat and Shiny Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.

Horizons Celebration brings special 7 km Eggs in Pokémon GO

During this event, you’ll find specific Pokémon inside Eggs that are located 7 kilometers away. Among them is Tinkatink, a Pokémon that can be obtained exclusively through this event. To ensure you don’t miss out, make sure to conserve some incubators!

Wild Encounters

During the event, you won’t encounter Tinkatink naturally, but instead, a variety of Pokémon will appear event-specifically. This includes not only the two costumed Pokémon!

  • Sprigatito
  • Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly
  • Pawmi
  • Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat

Furthermore, capturing Pikachu with Captain America’s hat during the event will grant it a unique Charged Attack known as Volt Tackle.

One-Star Raids:

  • Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat
  • Chansey
  • Rockruff

Three-Star Raids:

  • Charizard
  • Alolan Muk
  • Metagross
  • Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin

The Three-Star Battles are particularly thrilling, featuring Charizard and Metagross – both strong Pokemon characters. Notably, Charizard boasts two Mega Evolutions, while Metagross is anticipated to receive a Mega form soon. Moreover, Floragato is the latest costumed shiny addition to the game.

The Three-Star Raids are especially exciting as they feature Charizard and Metagross, both powerful Pokemon. Charizard has two Mega Evolutions while Metagross will soon have a mega form. Floragato is the newest costumed shiny in the game.)

Other event details

During the Pokémon GO Horizons Celebration, you’ll find event-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks could result in a meeting with Cap’s Hat Pikachu. Moreover, there will be free and paid Timed Research. The free one offers encounters with Tinkatink, while the $4.99 version provides Tinkatink encounters as well as other perks such as this specific avatar pose.
