Tina Knowles, 71, and niece Angie Beyince, 42, match in dark sunglasses and red lipstick at the Bluemarble show during Paris Fashion Week

On Thursday, during Paris Fashion Week, I had the privilege of gracing the scene at the Bluemarble Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 show. Accompanying me were none other than my esteemed aunt Tina Knowles and her remarkable niece Angie Beyince. Together, we certainly caught the attention of those around us.

At the event, the 71-year-old businesswoman and Angie, aged 42, created quite a spectacle while being photographed from their front-row seats.

On this special event, Tina exuded effortless elegance by pairing a sleek black blazer with a black halter-neck top and some stylish blue denims.

She teamed the look with a pair of black boots and accessorized with gold metal frame sunglasses. 

Tina completed her eye-catching outfit by adding several gold bangle bracelets, a style she often favors, along with her trademark red lipstick.

Meanwhile, Angie opted for a double denim look in a fitted zip-up jacket and jeans. 

She elevated her stature by donning a pair of black high-heels, protected her gaze under oversized black sunglasses, and accented her lips with a bold stroke of red lipstick.

It happens mere months following a time when Tina bravely held back tears while sharing her harrowing experience with breast cancer and divorce in an episode of Loose Women.

Tina, mother of renowned singers Beyoncé (age 43) and Solange Knowles (age 38), has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer following the detection of two tumors during a routine mammogram examination.

After Charlene expressed interest, the topic of her recent diagnosis came up as she sought to discover if there were friends she could rely on during tough times.

Tina expressed that forming friendships with women holds great significance for her; maintaining these connections is a top priority as she found herself relying heavily on her daughters during difficult times.

‘I didn’t tell everybody in my friends group. I didn’t have to tell them what was going on.

I recently visited Houston, where I met up with some friends, attended a service at church, had a meal together, and later enjoyed ourselves at a club, dancing.

Overwhelmed by her feelings, with tears starting to well up in her eyes, she said: ‘I’ve informed them that I don’t wish to discuss the current situation, but I desperately need your presence at this moment.’

‘They were all right there with me.

‘They’ve been a big part of my life, my whole life.’

Tina mentioned that her well-known daughters were among the very first individuals she shared the news with.

For some time, I kept my secret only with them, but during tough moments, they’ve always been there to support me wholeheartedly.

After going through a divorce, I felt utterly crushed initially. Yet, my daughters stood by me, offering encouragement and reminding me of my strengths. They also managed to bring laughter into the situation – something essential for difficult moments like these. In essence, they were my solid foundation.

The pair tied the knot in 1980 but divorced in 2011.

She later married actor Richard Lawson in 2015, but filed for divorce in 2023.

Tina clarified that she chooses not to harbor bitterness regarding any aspects of her life, instead, her self-assuredness in her own body has grown significantly.

‘I don’t feel any bitterness,’ she told Charlene and Jane.

She added: ‘I say in the book that it’s sad that I had to get to 70 to realise I’m whole by myself.

I deeply yearn for a loving relationship, but I can manage quite well if it doesn’t happen. It wasn’t until my 70th year that I discovered this preference.
