The period drama Night & Day, based on Virginia Woolf’s novel, will be released soon. The film stars Timothy Spall, known for Wicked Little Letters, and singer-actor Lily Allen.
The film Night & Day, which was first shown at the European Film Market earlier this year, will be released in UK cinemas on Friday, June 19th.
The movie is based on a popular novel by a well-known English author and features a talented cast. It includes Jack Whitehall, known for his comedy and the film The ‘Burbs, Haley Bennett from Cyrano, Sally Phillips of the Bridget Jones films, Elyas M’Barek who starred in Suck Me Shakespeer, and Jennifer Saunders, a comedy icon and the voice of the Fairy Godmother in Shrek 2.

Like many historical romances, the story centers around the love lives of friends Katharine Hilbery and Mary Datchet.
The novel is well-known for exploring the social expectations of its era, and it asks whether women can successfully combine romantic relationships, family life, and a career.

Recently, she’s appeared in the Sky comedy-drama Dreamland, and has performed on stage in productions of 2:22 A Ghost Story, The Pillowman, and Hedda.
Last year, Spall acted in Kate Winslet’s first time directing a film, Goodbye June, and the BBC One detective series Death Valley. A second season of Death Valley has been filmed in South Wales and will be shown later this year.
