As Christmas approaches, a sudden change in their mother’s health causes turmoil for four grown-up siblings and their troublesome father. They must deal with complex family issues while facing the possibility of losing their mother, creating chaos in their lives.

However, June, the sharp-minded mother, strategically manages her own downfall in a way that reflects her biting humor, frank honesty, and abundant love.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some exciting news to share! I’m thrilled to announce that the recent movie I was part of was actually penned by Joe Anders, son of our beloved actress Kate Winslet. Interestingly enough, we’ve been collaborating on a couple of projects lately – like ‘I Am Ruth’ and ‘Lee’. It’s been an amazing journey working with him, and I can’t wait for you all to see the results!

The award-winning actor who won an Oscar is also taking on a producing role for the film, having had her initial encounter in the part with Lee. Last year, she shared with Digital Spy that this new role was a distinctly different job for her.

A executive producer is typically the individual who initially discovers a project, and then passes it along to someone else to handle. They could also be an investor who finances part of the project or a person who provides production office space. (She clarified this.)

The role can take on various forms, but as a producer, one is involved from the inception, handling aspects like the planning, logistics, finances, team, locations, and more. (Continued by Winslet)

From start to finish, I was responsible for the entire production of the film. This was a new experience for me, and it was during my work on ‘Lee’ that I undertook this role for the first time in my career.

Goodbye June will release in select UK cinemas on 12 December, and on Netflix on 24 December.
