Timothy Spall’s “bittersweet” British movie The Last Bus is airing on TV tonight.
The movie, initially screened in 2021, narrates the journey of a character named Tom (portrayed by Spall). This widower embarks on a trip across Britain, starting from John o’ Groats in north-eastern Scotland and ending at Land’s End in Cornwall, all made possible by his free bus pass.
His goal is to keep a vow he made to his deceased spouse, by dispersing her remains at the location where they initially met and shared joyous moments in life.
