Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme Officially Breaks a Huge A24 Box Office Record

Timothée Chalamet’s latest film is proving to be a huge success. Not only is it getting fantastic reviews and award nominations, but it’s also broken a significant record.

According to Variety, the movie Marty Supreme is now A24’s biggest domestic box office success. The film has earned $80 million in North America, surpassing the $77 million earned by the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once.

While Marty Supreme is performing well, it hasn’t yet surpassed the box office success of last year’s hit, which earned $142 million worldwide and remains the studio’s top-grossing film. Civil War is a close second, with $127 million globally. After five weeks in theaters, Marty Supreme has brought in $97 million worldwide, but still trails behind both of those films.

Timothée Chalamet’s newest film came out on Christmas Day, following his 2023 biopic, A Complete Unknown. Like that movie, Marty Supreme has delighted reviewers and is already up for several awards.

I’m really excited about this new movie! It’s a funny and dramatic sports story directed by Josh Safdie, who also wrote it with Ronald Bronstein. And get this – Timothée Chalamet, the guy from Dune, is playing Marty Mauser, a ping-pong player who’s seriously struggling to make his dreams of becoming a champion come true. It sounds intense!

Marty Mauser is a young man determined to achieve something big, but nobody believes in him. He faces incredible challenges as he chases his dream.
