Timothée Chalamet’s best movie is now available to watch on Prime Video
As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for thought-provoking cinematic journeys, I can confidently say that Timothée Chalamet’s masterpiece, “Call Me By Your Name”, is a must-watch for any discerning viewer. Having grown up in the 80s myself, the nostalgic charm of the film’s setting, coupled with its ethereal soundtrack by Sufjan Stevens, instantly transported me back to those carefree days of youthful discovery.
Timothée Chalamet’s critically-acclaimed film, “Call Me By Your Name,” has secured a new platform for viewing on Amazon Prime Video.
In the United Kingdom, you can now stream the romantic movie based on André Aciman’s 2007 novel and directed by Luca Guadagnino, which tells a unique love story, on Amazon Prime.
Back in 1983, nestled within the picturesque landscapes of Northern Italy, I found myself, a 17-year-old, immersed in a tale that resonated deeply. The film’s soothing melodies, woven by Sufjan Stevens, seemed to echo my own thoughts and emotions. My life took an unexpected turn as I became entangled in a web of feelings for a man, 24-year-old Oliver, a graduate student who had come to stay with us.
In addition, the film features Michael Stuhlbarg playing Elio’s father, a professor of archaeology named Samuel, and Amira Casar portraying Elio’s mother, Annella.
In a new venture, Timothée Chalamet partners with Luca Guadagnino for the first time in “Call Me By Your Name,” and they reunite in 2022 for another heart-wrenching tale of cannibal love titled “Bones and All“.
After the acclaim of “Challengers”, Guadagnino recently showcased his new production, “Queer”, on the film festival scene, with showings at the BFI London Film Festival this past month among others.
The film, based on William S. Burroughs’ 1985 novel of the same title (a work penned by a notable member of the Beat Generation), will premiere in the United States on November 27th. Subsequently, it will be screened in the UK and Ireland on December 13th.
The movie features Daniel Craig in the role of William Lee, a U.S. citizen residing in Mexico City, who develops feelings for Eugene Allerton, a former U.S. Navy soldier dealing with substance abuse issues.
According to recent reports, Guadagnino is close to finalizing discussions for directing a fresh adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ “American Psycho.” This story was previously brought to life on the big screen in Mary Harron’s 2000 film, where Christian Bale portrayed Patrick Bateman.
You can currently watch “Call Me By Your Name” on Amazon Prime Video in the United Kingdom. In the United States, it’s accessible on both Netflix and Apple TV+.
