Timothee Chalamet sparks pandemonium as he shows up at his OWN lookalike contest in New York
As an ardent fan of Timothee Chalamet, I can confidently say that witnessing his unexpected appearance at his own lookalike contest was nothing short of surreal! The pandemonium that ensued was akin to being caught in the midst of a whirlwind of pure, unadulterated excitement.
Timothee Chalamet has sparked pandemonium in New York by showing up to his own lookalike contest.
Participants at the Manhattan event on Sunday shared with DailyMail.com that the actor known for Willy Wonka appeared unannounced, causing a commotion described as wild or chaotic.
NYPD officers arrived to break up the crowd at Washington Square Park, labeling the event as an illegal assembly.
At least one Chalamet doppelganger was dragged away in handcuffs as the crowd screamed: ‘Let him go!’
‘It was really funny, like a spectacle,’ bystander Megan Hattie Stahl, 33, told Daily Mail.com.
In a strange twist, both those recording the event and those responding to the police officers turned into an additional level of performance. The whole scene was simply bizarre.

Competitor Noah Wilde, aged 23, mentioned that the competition was judged based on public voting, with spectators cheering for their preferred choice, Timmy.
He told DailyMail.com the crowd was ‘thick’ when police swooped in to try to disperse the young people.
He stated that they shoved one child, followed by them shouting something along the lines of “What on earth makes you think it’s okay to push me?”, and proceeded to form a small group around themselves.
‘They ended up getting arrested’.
However, the excitement didn’t subside, as the storyline took an unexpected turn when the actual performer made a surprise appearance without prior notice.
After that, the genuine Timothée Chalamet appeared and embraced [the winner]. It was unbelievable, Wilde remarked.

Niege Borges, 34, also attended the contest in lower Manhattan.
He describing the scenes to DailyMail.com as ‘chaotic and intense,’ with ‘people passionately screaming,’ as they voted for their favorite Chalamet.
Once the police intervened, participants from the contest shifted their activities to Mercer Playground, where they organized a speed-dating event with women who admired them.
The contest was widely advertised in New York City earlier this month, with a $50 prize up for grabs for the winner.
Timothée Chalamet primarily gained recognition by portraying the lead characters in critically acclaimed films such as Call Me By Your Name, Dune, and Willy Wonka (upcoming).
