Timothée Chalamet reveals children ‘could be on the radar’ amid Kylie Jenner romance – as ambitious actor admits meteoric fame ‘destablised’ his life and pushed him into therapy

Timothée Chalamet is enjoying a lot of success right now – his Hollywood career is taking off, he’s dating a billionaire, and he clearly has the ability to accomplish anything he wants. It’s easy to see why things seem to be going so well for him.

Seeing my sister Pauline become a mom to a beautiful baby girl earlier this year has really got me thinking about the future. It’s definitely got me considering the possibility of having kids myself, and I’m starting to look ahead to what that might look like.

Timothée Chalamet, 29, is currently dating Kylie Jenner, the well-known cosmetics entrepreneur. He’s also watching close friends and colleagues – like his Dune co-stars Zendaya and Anya Taylor-Joy – start serious relationships of their own.

‘Zendaya is engaged. Anya is married,’ he told December edition of Vogue.

He mentioned that he’s starting to think about slowing down, putting down roots, and possibly starting a family soon, saying, ‘It’s something I’m considering.’

However, Timothée Chalamet prefers not to talk about his two-year relationship with Jenner, who has been a supportive presence as his career continues to flourish.

The couple are often seen at glamorous events, from Hollywood award shows to New York Knicks games at Yankee Stadium, where Chalamet is a big fan.

After being out of the public eye for several weeks, people are starting to speculate that the couple may have separated, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Due to work filming on location, Chalamet spent most of the summer in Hungary. Meanwhile, Jenner remained in Los Angeles with her two children, seven-year-old Stormi and three-year-old Aire, whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott.

Regardless, he insists it’s one topic that is off limits.

‘And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,’ he said.

The actor quickly became famous after appearing in Luca Guadagnino’s film version of Call Me By Your Name, which was a popular success when it came out in 2017.

He’s proven his range as an actor with diverse and memorable roles, including the intense Paul Atreides in the popular Dune films, the whimsical Willy Wonka in the Wonka prequel, and the complex, elusive Bob Dylan in the upcoming 2024 film A Complete Unknown. These parts showcase his ability to tackle vastly different characters.

Chalamet acknowledges that his sudden fame negatively impacted his mental well-being as he got used to being in the public eye.

He explained that becoming famous so quickly was very unsettling and threw his life off balance.

I overcame a lot of difficult challenges, including struggles with my mental health, that often come with being a creative person. It wasn’t a major crisis, but a process of getting through those hurdles.

Timothée Chalamet started going to therapy to help process his feelings. However, the intense schedule of promoting his new movie, Marty Supreme, has meant he’s had to pause his sessions for now, with his therapist’s understanding and support.

Timothée Chalamet described being fully immersed in his work, saying he’s really enjoying the structure and discipline he’s developed through experience. He feels like he’s ‘actively falling in love’ with this new way of working.

He also possesses a strong sense of self-assurance. Chalamet says he hasn’t felt the intense panic that some less confident actors experience.

He explained, ‘That’s just not part of my personality.’ He described his greatest strength as being fearless, something people have told him since childhood.

Vogue’s December 2025 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on November 18th.
