As a seasoned music enthusiast and fan of the iconic Oasis, I must admit that the prospect of a Gallagher brothers reunion at Glastonbury next summer has me more excited than a teenager with tickets to their first concert. Having grown up listening to their anthemic tunes and feeling the raw energy they brought to every performance, the idea of seeing Liam and Noel share the stage again is nothing short of thrilling.

Enthusiasts of the band Oasis are buzzing with excitement following rumors that Liam and Noel Gallagher might team up again for a joint performance, potentially taking the Glastonbury headline spot in 2025 and also playing shows at Wembley.

The organizers of Glastonbury Festival are trying to persuade Liam and Noel Gallagher, the feuding siblings, to reunite their iconic rock group Oasis for a possible headlining performance at the event scheduled for the following summer.

According to reports from The Mail on Sunday, it appears that the Gallagher brothers have been invited to perform as the headlining act at the 2025 music spectacle, following some negative feedback about the main acts at this year’s event. Coldplay took the stage for their fifth time as the headliner.

Next year’s event organizer at Worthy Farm, Somerset, is eagerly working towards securing prominent and popular acts for the main performances. According to insiders in the music industry, a potential Oasis reunion appears to be increasingly feasible compared to recent years as suggested by The Mail on Sunday.

As a devoted follower, I couldn’t help but feel my heart swell with joy as I read countless expressions of enthusiasm from fellow fans over the weekend. Many of us older fans even began jesting about arranging childcare immediately, for we can’t wait to attend Glastonbury to witness them.

One said on social media: ‘Felt it’s always been on the cards since Noel’s divorce. I haven’t been Glastonbury for two years (thanks Rowan) so go make a return when Oasis play it could be up there with Macca for me.

Others said: ‘Oasis reunion will be up there with the birth of my child.’,

I’m quite skeptical regarding the talk of an Oasis reunion, but there’s a certain vibe that makes me think it might actually happen this time. Just imagine witnessing them perform together in my lifetime – it would be breathtaking. Could we possibly…?

‘wdym oasis reunion’,

‘Oasis Reunion announcement? @liamgallagher Come on’,

‘Oasis reunion is a done deal I’m hearing yus’,

‘The gathering at the oasis causes me, a specific type of white male, to make exceptionally reckless fiscal choices.’

‘woooooooooow oasis reunion.’,

‘OASIS REUNION FOR REAL?’

Stoking the whispers, Liam has lately interacted with tweets about a potential reunion on topic X. In response to one post that read “Heaton Park is a poor choice for concerts,” the lead singer retorted playfully, “I’ll see you up front, you big chap!”

As an ardent devotee, I couldn’t help but jump into the conversation when someone said, ‘This won’t last more than five seconds.’ To which Liam responded, ‘You must have a fortune-telling device up your sleeve, you presumptuous know-it-alls.’

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but feel the buzz of excitement coursing through me! On Sunday, a reliable source whispered in my ear that the endless chatter about this legendary reunion might be exhausting, but next summer’s Glastonbury Festival is shaping up to be an offer Liam and Noel Gallagher can’t refuse. It’s like a dream come true, isn’t it?

They’ve learned about the opportunity for a headline spot opening up for them the following summer. From now on, it depends on them.

Back in 2009, I found myself parting ways with my fellow bandmates from Manchester, a move that was driven by some challenging fraternal dynamics within our group.

Despite remaining silent, there have been continuous rumors about potential reunions over the ensuing years. Oasis enthusiasts were stirred up when the band’s official Instagram account shared a mysterious video last May, which depicted a vast estate by a river from above and softly played music in the backdrop.

A past issue that caused difficulties was the deep-seated feud between Liam and Sara Macdonald, who used to be Noel’s spouse.

Sara and Noel divorced last year, which also helped ease tensions between the two brothers.

Simultaneously, Liam’s personal music career has soared with his band, yet the peak moments have been a string of sold-out concerts where he played tracks from his first album, Definitely Maybe, which was released in 1994.

Instead of playing together as a group, his sibling has moved forward with his own band, known as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, which boasts a sizable following on its own.

The organizers of Glastonbury might find it challenging to convince Noel, given his frequent attendance as a spectator and his presence at the event this year. However, he often expresses that the festival has undergone significant changes in recent times.

He said: ‘It’s getting a bit woke now, that place, and a bit kind of preachy and a bit virtue-signalling.

I have a problem with concerts where people are excessively waving flags and making political statements during the performances. Bands often use their stage time to express opinions about war or other controversial topics, which can be disruptive and detract from the music experience. It feels like they should just focus on playing their songs and leave the politics aside.

Glastonbury bookers are also keen to secure US rap legend Eminem for a headline slot.
