Tilda Swinton, ever the enigma, graced us with her make-up free elegance in baggy shirt and flared trousers – a testament to her commitment to timeless style.
At the Venice Film Festival on Monday, Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore showcased fashionably distinct ensembles while publicizing their most recent movie.
They displayed their unique fashion senses while walking the red carpet for The Room Next Door at the Palazzo del Casino.
Tilda, aged 63, chose a stylish, navy-blue silk ensemble featuring a boxy, long-sleeved blouse and fitted capri pants that accentuated her waistline.
She emphasised her long legs with a pair of brown heels and kept her makeup and jewellery minimal, adding just a hint of red lipstick.
Actress from “The Beach” walked the red carpet alongside her fellow actor Julianne, aged 63, and both of them beamed with joy as they struck a pose together.
The Still Alice star wore a black and red flower patterned skirt and long sleeved top for the event.
She added a pair of black heels to her look and finished off with some delicate gold earrings.
As a devoted admirer, I was fortunate enough to be in the company of the film’s visionary director, Pedro Almodóvar, during our outing. He opted for a relaxed attire, blending seamlessly as he walked alongside his talented actresses.
In a casual yet stylish ensemble, the 74-year-old Spanish director donned a pair of jeans, a fresh mint green striped tee, and added a boxy grey jacket for a chic finish, along with vibrant platform sneakers. Accompanying him were two actresses, who struck a pose alongside him.
Before venturing into the theater, the three of them took turns striking poses for pictures. They were about to catch a glimpse of a movie contending for the Golden Lion prize.
Julianne and Tilda appeared cheerful, sharing laughter and playful banter. Tilda, who left the red carpet early and seemingly dashed back for some last-minute photos, managed to find humor in the mix-up.
The Room Next Door explores the challenging bond between Martha, portrayed by Tilda Swinton, a war correspondent, and her daughter and old buddy, Ingrid, played by Julianne Moore, whom she reunites with following decades apart.
The evening prior, Tilda switched her attire for a sophisticated white and blue tie-dye silk blouse with a black scarf, knotted into a big bow.
The blonde beauty clutched a Chanel goody bag as she was spotted exiting a Chanel part in the heart of Venice.
The award-winning actress went make-up free as she kept cool in the baggy shirt and flared trousers.
She re-styled her hair into wavy strands that framed her ears, while clutching a massive white rose, she strolled along with an enigmatic man by her side, beaming broadly.
On Monday, Tilda and Julianne were accompanied at the film festival by Marissa Abela, who made an elegant entrance.
In the biographical movie about Amy Winehouse, titled “Back to Black,” the 27-year-old actress who played Amy, was entirely attired in Miu Miu clothing.
Marisa donned a 1,700-pound navy pin-striped pinafore dress over a blue blouse. She paired this outfit with gray socks and expensive 790-pound black satin pumps.
The film star accessorised with a £2,100 tan bowling bag and black sunglasses.
With actress Chase Sui by her side, Marisa exuded joy as they paused for photo opportunities upon disembarking from a water taxi.
Marisa concealed her engagement ring while taking pictures, having gotten engaged to West End actor Jamie Bogyo in July.
In April, the movie “Back To Black” premiered, featuring Marisa in the portrayal of the late singer-songwriter Amy. Scenes in the film show her challenging marriage with Blake Fielder-Civil, played by Jack O’Connell.
Blake, who was once married to the singer from 2007 to 2009, has confessed to introducing her to heroin and is widely perceived by many of her fans as partially accountable for her death due to alcohol poisoning at the age of 27 in 2011.
Even though Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” album propelled Marisa into stardom, the biopic helmed by Sam Taylor-Johnson was panned by movie critics as a ‘mediocre production’ and an ‘imitative portrayal’ of the actress.
