TikToker Tea Tyme has been arrested after she allegedly hit and killed a pedestrian.
Tynesha McCarty-Wroten, who goes by the name Tea Tyme, was apparently broadcasting live on social media while she was driving.
Police arrested her in Zion, Illinois, and charged her with two serious crimes: reckless homicide and using communication devices in a way that led to someone’s death.
According to police, McCarty-Wroten was broadcasting live online while driving on November 3rd in a Chicago suburb when she struck and hit a 59-year-old man, Darren Lucas, who was crossing the street.
She was broadcasting live on the platform when she collided with Lucas.
A thud was heard, followed by McCarty-Wroten exclaiming, ‘Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, I just hit someone!’
