The well-known TikTok personality Malik Taylor, known for creating humorous POV videos and commenting on current trends in popular culture, tragically passed away at the young age of 28.
The announcement was made by his professional group Alpha Kappa Psi, based at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, where he graduated in the year 2020.
Instead of withholding the reason for his demise, they chose to highlight that he was known for spreading laughter, happiness, and radiating a warm smile that illuminated every space he occupied.
Taylor boasted an impressive follower base of over 250,000 on TikTok and additionally ran a YouTube series titled “The Unpopular Party,” where he shared his unique perspectives on popular cultural personalities.

He joked: “You might exclaim: ‘Here I am, here I am!’ – correct, that’s why they summoned me. Charlotte, known as The Queen City, required a ruler, and I ascended the throne.
With deep sadness, his previous business associates announced the passing of our cherished member, Malik Taylor, who now moves on to a place called ‘Eternal Review’.
They stated that he had a remarkable quality of being a source of light for everyone. Whenever he was around, his laughter, joy, and radiant smile made every space feel brighter.

About two weeks before his passing, on July 2nd, he shared a photo-shoot inspired by “The Great Gatsby” on Instagram, marking the occasion of his most recent birthday, which was his 28th.
In a caption for his album, he expressed that he had managed to get through the ’27 club’ (barely), and in celebration of turning 28, he was treating it like the greatest party ever. He jokingly referred to himself as Malik Gatsby and raised a toast to the remaining years of his twenties. Cheers to you, old sport!
Online, people swamped the comments section of his last TikTok post with their sorrow and disbelief upon hearing the news of his passing.
