Tickets to the terrifying Alien: Romulus are now available ahead of its August premiere
As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast who’s been through countless hours of horror games like “Amnesia” and “Outlast”, and watched every single Alien film multiple times, I can confidently say that the upcoming release of “Alien: Romulus” has me more than just excited – it’s got me on the edge of my seat!
It’s been some time since we’ve seen an Alien movie that truly sent shivers down our spines. The last installment in the science fiction horror series was 2017’s Alien: Covenant, which served as a sequel to the 2012 film Prometheus.
These two films functioned as prequels to Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie Alien. Although they garnered acceptable critic reviews and had a good run at the box office, they failed to capture the classic sense of terror associated with Alien.
One reason I’m thrilled about “Alien: Romulus” is because it’s the latest addition to the well-established series, and it’s directed by Fede Alvarez, who has built a strong reputation in the scary movie world due to his extensive work in horror.
Fritz has directed films such as “Evil Dead” (2013), “Don’t Breathe” (2016), and “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” (2018), which suggests he is skilled at creating suspense and fear for viewers. This skill is evident in the trailers of “Alien: Romulus,” a film that appears to be a genuinely terrifying space horror, harkening back to the franchise’s origins – even incorporating the iconic tagline from the 1979 original: “In space, no one can hear you scream.”
20th Century Fox’s (now owned by The Walt Disney Company) sci-fi movie titled “Alien: Romulus” is set to hit theaters on August 16, 2024. Even though it’s a few weeks away, tickets for this film are already available for purchase. This news was revealed with the release of a 30-second trailer that perfectly captures the sense of dread and suspense you can expect from the movie.
As a die-hard fan of the original “Alien” series, I must say that the latest trailer for the upcoming film has me truly excited! However, being someone who values the suspense and surprise in horror movies, I find myself torn between my anticipation and the fear of spoilers. Having had countless instances where a movie’s best moments were ruined due to trailers, I feel compelled to advise others who share my passion for the franchise: if you can resist the temptation to watch it, I would strongly suggest steering clear of this trailer in order to fully enjoy the film when it releases.
Apart from the TV advertisement, a multitude of posters have been unveiled as well, emphasizing the different cinemas screening the movie. The one I find most appealing showcases the 4DX experience.
4DX Experience Awaits: Witness Romulus in a Whole New Dimension! Savor every heart-pounding instant as the action unfurls, immersing yourself in a chilling, spine-tingling adventure. It’s more than just a film; it’s an unforgettable sensory event. #ExperienceItIn4DX #AlienRomulus

In the timeframe spanning between the events depicted in “Alien” (1979) and “Aliens” (1986), the movie “Alien: Romulus” unfolds an exciting tale about a band of young space colonists. While they are rummaging through a deserted spaceship, these explorers encounter the most horrifying extraterrestrial life form known to exist in space. The film is set to premiere on August 16th at cinemas.
