Ticketless Oasis fans ‘storm Heaton Park as metal fence panels are knocked down forcing police to intervene’
Fans of Ticketless Oasis, it appears, attempted to enter Heaton Park forcefully on Friday, as the band commenced their five-night performance series at that location.
In my dedication to keeping you informed, I’d like to share a recent event: It was reported that due to an overzealous crowd trying to access a sold-out concert, the police felt compelled to intervene. Video evidence revealed that some metal barriers from the fence were knocked down.
In the heart of their hometown Manchester, Liam and Noel Gallagher, two brothers, put on a show for an audience of 80,000 people who had all purchased tickets to attend.
Instead, it seemed like some people without tickets tried to bypass the rules by scaling the fence to attend the event.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, an onlooker mentioned that approximately 50 individuals attempted to hastily enter the performance area through one of the interior doors just prior to Oasis taking the stage.
‘They said around 10 appeared to get in but the rest were apprehended and turned away.’

Later on, the police confirmed to MEN that no one managed to reach the concert venue.
At Heaton Park, which is a sprawling 600-acre public green space located in both Bury and Manchester, you’ll find concerts that are unique because they’re the only shows in the UK held outside of stadiums. Other events like these typically happen at the Principality Stadium, Wembley, and Murrayfield.
In other locations, music enthusiasts were fortunate enough to attend the first performance of the band at Heaton Park without paying a fee.
As a devoted fan, I was fortunate enough to witness the reunion gig not only by spending my hard-earned money but also through the convenience of catching it on television screens.
During their rendition of “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” “Cigarettes and Alcohol,” and “Morning Glory,” a harmonious blend of these songs filled the air in Prestwich.
Even though numerous individuals lacked tickets for the event, many managed to enjoy the concert via the large screens set up on a nearby hill.
Speaking with someone who used to be called Twitter, a fan remarked: ‘Welcome to Gallagher Hill instead of Henman Hill, #oasis.’
‘Amazing night on Gallagher Hill in Heaton Park for Oasis. Best atmosphere & lovely people!’

Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, an Oasis band member, posted a video that captured fans outside the venue having fun during their performance.
Alongside the clip, he penned: ‘No tickets needed,’ alongside red heart emojis.
The large screens, spanning 84 meters by 12 meters, were used for letting many people enter and exit the park.
These measurements surpass by a full 20 meters those taken in Cardiff last week, making them the largest ever employed at a UK concert.
At Heaton Park, which sprawls over 600 acres in both Bury and Manchester, you’ll find that the concerts are unique, as they’re the only UK shows not held within a stadium. Other shows typically occur at venues such as the Principality Stadium, Wembley, or Murrayfield.
To begin their performance, Oasis started off by performing “Hello,” a song from their second album released in 1995 titled “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” followed by “Acquiesce.
Audience enjoyed a series of songs like Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic prior to Noel’s solo performance on the guitar.

Liam embraced his brother before departing, as Noel continued playing Half The World Away and Little By Little.
Additional tunes featured were “D’You Know What I Mean,” “Cast No Shadow,” “Stand By Me,” “Whatever,” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star.
Following their performance as Rock N Roll Star, Liam expressed gratitude by saying: ‘Thank you for staying with us. I acknowledge that we can be challenging, but wouldn’t you like to experience what it’s like to be part of our band?’ Before departing from the stage.
Hearing the crowd call for “one more song!”, they returned to the stage, performing beloved hits such as ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‘Wonderwall’.
Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.
As a devoted follower, I found myself standing behind the curtains, feeling the warmth of family unity as Noel and Liam prepared for their upcoming performance. In that moment, their children embraced each other, creating a heartwarming scene before the music began. Among them was Liam’s son, Gene, age 24, who captured this special moment and shared it on Instagram for all of us to witness.
Additionally, his brother John Lennon (age 25), as well as Noel’s daughter Anais (also 25), and his children Donovan (aged 17) and Sonny (aged 14), were also present.

Additionally, Pep, who has managed Manchester City Football Club, a favorite team of Noel’s, since 2016, was also part of their group.
A Spanish player put on an old-fashioned Manchester City jersey, ready to make another attempt at reclaiming the premier league championship they surrendered to Liverpool in the previous season.
At the Etihad Stadium, it’s common to hear Oasis’ famous track ‘Wonderwall’ being played following City games.
In addition, Noel has attended multiple celebration parties with the Spaniard following Manchester City’s victories in recent times.
Last year, Noel shared with The Athletic about his experience of supporting Manchester City during a challenging time.
He mentioned that City has been relegated numerous times, and the most challenging season for him was when they went from the First Division to the Second. That particular match day, he was watching with Bobby Gillespie, as City needed to defeat Stoke and another team had to lose for City to remain in the First Division.
Later on, he faced me and commented, “You’re in the Second League,” to which I responded, “Actually, we’re in the Third,” because let’s face it, it’s still the historic Third Division! I was astonished.
1995 saw Noel subtly express his ambition to assume control of the club, just prior to the band’s performance at Maine Road, which was once City’s home stadium.
Noel expressed his wish to the reporter that the team might be demoted to the third tier, which would make it affordable for him to purchase the club for around one million pounds.
When asked if he might consider purchasing shares, he responded: “I’m hesitant. Investing in a football club, particularly Manchester City, can be an effortless means to squander a significant amount of money.
‘Hopefully they’ll win something while I’m alive but I wouldn’t put money on it.’
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I had the privilege of witnessing an extraordinary event at Oasis’s homecoming shows, where the stages were gracefully opened by none other than Cast and the remarkable Richard Ashcroft himself. It was truly a moment to cherish.
Cast were joined by American singer P.P. Arnold as they played their latest track Poison Vine.
Following his cast, Richard performed several hits such as The Verve’s “The Drugs Don’t Work” and concluded his performance with “Bittersweet Symphony.
On a cheerful Monday, Shaun Ryder, one of the notable figures, made an appearance among many others as they entered the venue, all eager to attend the highly anticipated concert which was filled with countless enthusiastic fans.
