Tia Mowry says she’s not hiding her emotions from daughter Cairo, six, after divorcing Cory Hardrict: ‘There are days when Mommy is sad’
As a lifestyle expert with years of personal and professional growth under my belt, I wholeheartedly admire Tia Mowry for her courage and authenticity in navigating her emotions and sharing them with her children. In my own journey, I’ve learned that allowing our kids to witness our ups and downs can teach them valuable lessons about resilience and emotional intelligence.
Tia Mowry isn’t shying away from her emotions in the wake of her divorce from Cory Hardrict.
Instead of concealing her feelings, the mother chose to be open about them with her 13-year-old son Cree and her six-year-old daughter Cairo.
As a mother, you often find yourself pondering whether it’s appropriate to show them your full range of emotions, from the highs and lows.
She shared with People during the premiere of Tia Mowry: My Next Act, “I’ve decided to be truthful about my feelings, and it’s alright for Cairo to witness that I have days when I feel down. It’s all part of being authentic.
In her new reality TV series, Tia gives Cairo a ‘worry doll’ to help make mom’s ‘worries go away.’
In the debut episode of the series, a former star of The Tia and Tamera Show, aged 46, expresses her belief that her daughter tends to sense her emotions and vitality.
She clarified, “I believe the charm of children lies in the fact that, despite their youth, they certainly do possess a unique voice.
She stated, “This doesn’t automatically imply that they’re unaware of situations or unable to convey their feelings. Instead, I encourage both my children to have room for self-expression and genuine authenticity.
She continued, “It’s not a matter of concealing issues, you understand. In fact, when one acts genuinely, there is room for healing and growth. I’ve encouraged my kids to do the same.
The series chronicles the journey of a mother of two, moving forward into a new chapter in her life, after her 2023 divorce from her children’s father.
At the Hollywood premiere of her show, she mentioned that her upcoming performance is centered on fostering development. It’s also about maintaining inspiration, staying consistent with my thoughts and actions.
‘All about me. Moving forward, no longer looking behind. Just full of love and compassion toward myself.’
The official description of the show states: ‘Until now, Tia has been part of a pair – as a twin and as a spouse. However, for the first time ever, she’s embarking on this journey alone.’
For Tia, balancing dating, her acting job, various businesses, and motherhood isn’t just a challenge – it’s a genuine struggle. As she adapts to this new phase in life, Tia seeks love, finds joy, and is supported by her vibrant circle of friends and family throughout the journey.
Last month, Tia revealed that she’s not as close to her twin sister Tamera anymore and wishes she could pick up the phone and call her.
In her recent show, she admitted that being alone has been the hardest aspect of her divorce. She lamented, “I long for the days when I could talk to my sister whenever I felt this way, but unfortunately, our relationship isn’t in a place where I can do that at the moment.
The actress, who gained popularity in the late ’90s along with Tamera on the TV show “Sister, Sister,” did not disclose the reason for the rift that has occurred between her and her identical twin sister.
