Tia Mowry denies rift with twin sister Tamera and explains why she's not on her new reality TV show

As a dedicated follower of Tia Mowry’s career and personal life, I was initially taken aback by the comments she made about her relationship with her twin sister Tamera in the teaser for My Next Act. However, upon hearing Tia clarify that they are actually on good terms during her interview on Today, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Tia Mowry is clarifying the remarks she previously made concerning her bond with her identical sister, Tamera.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must share my insights about the upcoming reality show on We TV, “My Next Act.” In this intriguing sneak peek, the once-beloved child star hints at a shift in her relationship with Tamera, who, like myself, is 46 years old. It seems that we might have found ourselves on different paths lately.

In her statement about her divorce from Cory Hardrict, she expressed: ‘The hardest aspect of our separation has been dealing with solitude. At moments like these, I find myself yearning for a closer bond with my sister, so I could simply reach out and call her. However, our relationship isn’t in that place at the moment.’

During their interview on Today with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Hager, she clarified to the hosts that herself and her sister have a positive relationship.

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in this field, and I understand that certain statements may be misconstrued. Therefore, we must accept situations as they present themselves.

She commented, ‘With age, it’s quite typical for us, being siblings, to assume varying roles and duties.’

As a devoted parent, some of my responsibilities include being a spouse and raising children who rely heavily on me for support. Just as she is to hers, I am the one they lean on. When I referred to ‘not as close in proximity’, I meant that we may not be physically nearby, but our bond remains strong and unwavering.

Tia is mom to 13-year-old son Cree and six-year-old daughter Cairo.

Ever since I’ve become smitten with the captivating Tamera Mowry-Housley, it’s been nothing but joy witnessing her blissful union with her remarkable husband, Adam Housley – a distinguished journalist and vintner hailing from the picturesque vineyards of Napa, California.

The two tied the knot in 2011 and they share son Aden, 11, and daughter Ariah, nine.

Mowry mentioned that she and her sister reside in different towns, similarly, her brother dwells in Nashville, Tennessee.

She noted that she and her identical twin will always share a ‘beautiful connection.’

She expressed, “This connection is eternal, and our affection for each other runs deep. I apologize.” This was her message to Kotb and Hager.

For Wednesday’s morning show appearance, she wore a black dress with a billowing A-line skirt.

This outfit had a simple, unassuming style that included a crew neck, three-quarter length sleeves, and a bodice. Tia accessorized the ensemble beautifully with gold accessories.

She layered two necklaces with small pendants, wore a watch, rings, bracelets, and ribbed earrings.

The mother-of-two stepped out in a pair of pointy-toe, black, closed-toe high heels.

Tia Mowry: My Next Act will follow the actress and media personality’s life post-divorce.

In the preview, she shared her thoughts: “There’s such curiosity about what transpired and why, people are even inventing their own versions of events and sharing them publicly.

She also said the chatter around her divorce made her ‘mentally ill.’

Following her October 2022 divorce filing, the new show will see Mowry get back in the dating pool.
