Thylane Blondeau revealed her diamond engagement ring on Monday during Paris Fashion Week, confirming she’s engaged to boyfriend Ben Attal after he proposed.
The French model, once called “the most beautiful girl in the world” by Vogue Enfants after starting her career as a child, was present at the Palais de Tokyo to see Australian brand Zimmermann showcase its new fall-winter collection.
Yesterday, Blondeau announced she’s engaged to Attal, sharing the news on social media. The proposal happened during their spring break in Greece at the luxurious Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel, and included a £34,000 ring.
The 24-year-old model turned heads at the event in a stylish combination of a cropped leather jacket and a flowing white lace skirt. She sat in the front row with actresses Alice Isaaz, Lily James, Jessica Chastain, and Naomi Watts.
Benjamin Khordipour, a New York City jeweler and gemologist at Estate Diamond Jewelry, says the engagement ring appears to be around two carats, with an oval cut and excellent sparkle.
According to photos, he estimates the diamond is likely around color grade E and has VVS1 clarity. The ring’s design is very contemporary and simple, with a plain 18-karat yellow gold band and four prongs holding the diamond.
The ring’s simple design beautifully highlights the center diamond, making it the focal point.

It’s interesting to note that this simple style is similar to what was popular in the late 1800s, when single-diamond engagement rings were highly valued for their elegant and understated beauty.
The announcement of their engagement surprised Blondeau’s over six million social media followers. It comes after nearly six years of dating Attal, who prefers to keep his Instagram account private.
Gabriel Attal and his partner generally keep their relationship private – Attal isn’t often featured on his partner’s social media – but they have been spotted on romantic getaways, such as a recent trip to Saint Tropez.
The model had short-term relationships with both YouTuber Raphaël Le Friant and French DJ Milane Meritte. She and Meritte publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram in January 2019, and were frequently seen dating in Los Angeles before they broke up.

Blondeau became a spokesperson for L’Oréal and was featured in an advertising campaign for Lolita Lempicka perfume.
In 2017, Blondeau appeared in a Dolce & Gabbana campaign alongside Zendaya, Lucky Blue Smith, and Presley Gerber.
Blondeau’s parents were married for fourteen years, from 2002 until 2016, when they divorced. Later, her mother began a relationship with producer Gérard Kadoche.
Beyond her well-known Vogue Enfants cover, Blondeau has collaborated with major fashion houses like Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, L’Oréal Paris, Versace, Ralph Lauren, and Hugo Boss.
In a 2018 interview with The Telegraph, she explained that she had grown apart from the person once named ‘the world’s most beautiful’.
She explained that people still tell her she’s beautiful, but she always responds by saying she’s just a normal teenager, like everyone else.
