Independent game developer, Grizzly Games, has revealed that they will soon release their critically-acclaimed real-time strategy game, Thronefall, for pre-order on iOS. Currently available on PC and Switch, the game is slated to debut on the App Store on May 20, 2025.
Dive into a medieval world and defend your little kingdom against enemies in Thronefall
Thronefall is a straightforward indie real-time strategy game that focuses on simplicity instead of the typical intricacies found in this genre. In this game, you’ll construct and safeguard your small kingdom as it cycles between day and night, much like games such as Nighty Knight: Frontier War TD.

In this game, you’ll be eagerly anticipating the animation of your realm, where you’ll engage in thrilling skirmishes against waves of adversaries to protect it. The action is a captivating blend of hack-and-slash combat. During the day, you can strengthen your stronghold by building walls, deploying archers, and other defensive measures. At night, these fortifications will help you repel enemy attacks.
You can either charge head-on into battles or hang back with longbows
The game becomes tougher due to the need for careful management of your economy and defense, using a strategic approach. Furthermore, this game differs from typical Tower Defense (TD) titles as it allows you to either directly engage enemies with your horses or maintain a defensive stance at a distance using a longbow.
As Steam raves about the game with numerous favorable comments, and its stylish, streamlined graphics; easy-to-grasp RTS dynamics blended with hack-and-slash action; it appears incredibly enjoyable and revitalizing, offering a wealth of fulfilling content.
Thronefall is now available for pre-purchase through the App Store for iOS users. The anticipated release date, as per the App Store’s listing, is May 20, 2025. Regarding an Android version, we don’t have any updates at the moment, so keep checking back for more information.
