New photos offer a first look at Lesley Manville alongside Aidan Turner and Darragh Hand in a fresh adaptation of Les Liaisons Dangereuses. The play, described as visually striking, will premiere on stage in London later this month before being filmed for release in cinemas as part of the National Theatre Live series. It’s scheduled to run at the National Theatre.
In this production, Manville stars as the Marquise de Merteuil. Marianne Elliott directs, and Christopher Hampton adapted the story from the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.
In the luxurious world of the wealthy, men hold the power, and a woman’s reputation is her most valuable asset. One wrong move can quickly lead to her downfall.

Marquise de Merteuil is a skilled survivor who expertly manipulates those around her. She and the charming Vicomte de Valmont initially work together, turning seduction into a calculated game and using desire as a weapon. However, when their partnership dissolves into competition, their escalating conflict puts everyone connected to them at risk.
Glenn Turner stars as de Valmont, with Monica Barbaro and Gabrielle Drake also appearing in the cast.
