Thriller that’s “shockingly addictive” just got an exciting second season update

The political thriller series starring Sterling K Brown, titled “Paradise,” has been granted a second season on Disney+.

The recently premiered eight-episode show takes place within a peaceful society populated by influential figures worldwide. However, this idyllic atmosphere shatters when an unexpected murder takes place, leading to a thrilling investigation full of tension.

The renewal indicates a strong belief in the success of the series, with several weeks left until the conclusion of its first season.

Man, I’ve got to say, it felt amazing to see “Paradise” draw in a whopping 7 million viewers in its debut week, with the numbers soaring on Hulu within the US and Disney+ globally! It’s an incredible feeling knowing that so many people are diving into this virtual world we created.

The TV show produced by the creator of “This Is Us,” Dan Fogelman, has garnered positive feedback from critics, resulting in an impressive ‘Certified Fresh’ rating of 81% on the review site Rotten Tomatoes.

Packed with complex ideas and motifs, Paradise offers a captivating blend of Sterling K. Brown and creator Dan Fogelman, according to the critical review on the site.

In our review on Digital Spy, we labeled Paradise as “surprisingly captivating”. We further stated: “Even when you’re on the verge of giving up, seeking something with a stronger impact, it manages to reel you back in for ‘just one more episode’. It creates an unquenchable curiosity about the characters, events, and mysteries within the story.

In addition to Paradise, this production features James Marsden, known for his role in Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside Sarah Shahi from Sex/Life, along with Julianne Nicholson, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV.

Next week, the second-to-last episode of the series will be aired, and as stated by Fogelman, viewers can expect to find solutions to all the lingering mysteries concerning the grand puzzle of the universe after tuning in.

He informed Variety that no further queries should be anticipated following his statement. However, there will be numerous questions regarding the murder and Xavier’s wife, and all these responses are provided in the eighth episode.

Paradise is available to stream now on Disney+.
