“Thoroughly entertaining” new UK-set Toby Jones movie is a murder mystery with a difference

Look forward to Toby Jones’ upcoming British murder mystery film, which promises to be highly engaging. It deviates from the typical structure, offering something unique.

The character named Flavia originates from the 2009 novel “The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie,” penned by Canadian author Alan Bradley. This novel is one installment in the collection of mystery novels known as the Flavia de Luce Mysteries.

In this film titled Sky Cinema, unlike typical mysteries featuring grown-up detectives, it focuses on an 11-year-old prodigy named Molly Belle Wright who steps into the role of an amateur detective. A puzzling situation arises when a corpse is discovered in her manor and her father becomes the main suspect for the murder. To clear his name, Molly puts her intelligence to use.
