Thomas Skinner admits he cheated on his wife Sinead just weeks after their wedding when a ‘moment of madness’ saw him almost ‘ruin his life’

Thomas Skinner confessed that he was unfaithful to his wife Sinead not long after their marriage, following an instance of poor judgment which nearly caused significant damage to his life.

The star from The Apprentice, aged 34, who will be dancing this year on Strictly Come Dancing, expressed that it was a regrettable decision or action he made in his life.

The couple, who share a son Henry and twin daughters, Roma and Darla, married in May 2022.  

In a straightforward conversation, Thomas shared for the first time his encounter with the woman. He revealed that they initially met at a pub, and later accepted her invitation for complimentary beauty treatments.

The celebrity, in turn, disclosed that he had a brief romantic involvement spanning two weeks with the head of the beauty salon. He considered himself lucky as Sinead chose to forgive him for it.

He shared with The Sun, “I had a brief romantic encounter. It was purely that and nothing more. It happened just once, it was an error in judgment. Upon waking up, I felt utterly remorseful about it.

Thomas went on to say, “I was filled with guilt. I confessed to my wife, for in a flash of irrationality, I acted thoughtlessly and failed to cherish what was mine.

When I shared with my wife that I might have upset her irreversibly, I realized it was entirely possible she’d choose to ignore me in the future. It’s important to note that no one forced me into making those actions. However, this situation underscores how even a small mistake can significantly impact and disrupt one’s life.

Before stepping onto the stage for his Strictly Come Dancing debut, Thomas shared a video on Instagram a couple of days later, having already shaken off his pre-performance turbulence and donned his dancing shoes.

On Tuesday, a journalist was left astounded as the previous contestant from The Apprentice suddenly ended a press conference, grabbing a reporter’s mobile device mid-call.

In his own response, Thomas posted an apology on Instagram on Wednesday, acknowledging that he was addressing a past scandal. He also stated that he is endeavoring to overcome challenging episodes from his past.

According to The Daily Mail’s report, it was stated that Thomas would continue on the BBC show, as the BBC is supporting him, with the show set to premiere on September 20.

Thomas disclosed that his employers at the broadcast station are only giving him a payment of £10,000 for appearing in this year’s season.

He simply said: ‘I’m getting ten grand for Strictly but seriously, I’d do it for a tenner.’ 

In an interview with The Times, the father of three expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform on the dance floor.
