This WWE Star Wants To Play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU

Although DC Studios hasn’t officially revealed the cast for their upcoming Brave and Bold film, professional wrestler Randy Orton has publicly shown his desire to portray Batman in the new DC Universe. As of now, the movie doesn’t have a specific release date, but it is expected to be the introduction of Batman within the DCU when it eventually premieres.

Randy Orton expresses interest in playing Batman in James Gunn’s DCU

Recently, wrestling icon Randy Orton hinted at his interest in portraying Batman in the upcoming Brave and the Bold movie, should the opportunity arise.

On July 12th, Orton openly showed his interest in joining James Gunn’s DC Universe as the Dark Knight on a platform previously known as Twitter. He re-shared a question from ScreenTime, “Who do you think should play Batman in James Gunn’s DC Universe?”, and included a waving hand emoji to suggest that he is ready and willing to take on the role of Bruce Wayne in future DCU productions.

In response to the suggestion of Orton playing Batman, Xavier Woods (also known as Austin Creed) expressed his support by saying, “I agree with this.” Additionally, he hinted at his interest in portraying a popular DC villain in Gunn’s cinematic universe, stating, “If you need a Riddler, I can do that for you.

At present, Randy Orton boasts a limited number of acting gigs under his belt. Apart from his supporting roles in That’s What I Am (2011), Changeland (2019) and the Shooter series, it is worth noting that he has starred in two action movies so far: 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded and The Condemned 2.

Currently, there’s no response yet from either James Gunn or DC Studios regarding Randy Orton’s social media post suggesting he could play Batman in the DC Universe.
