This Week in Star Wars Comics: Ewoks invade the week!
As a seasoned Star Wars gamer with memories of watching “Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure” etched into my childhood, I must say this week in Star Wars Comics has hit a nostalgic nerve for me! The battle for Endor and Bright Tree Village in “Ewoks #2” is a thrilling ride that harkens back to the simple yet captivating stories of our furry friends from Endor. The inclusion of 4-LOM and Zuckuss adds a touch of the dark side, making it a must-read for any Star Wars fan.
As a devoted Star Wars enthusiast, I must admit that the lines between reality and galaxy far, far away are blurring a tad This Week in Star Wars Comics. In honor of the anniversary of the classic adventure “Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure,” we’re diving deep into the woodsy world of our favorite furry friends this week. And to add an extra layer of excitement, there’s a sprinkle of The High Republic action as well! So, let’s journey into the Star Wars universe together!
This Week in Star Wars Comics is all about Ewoks!
In the story “Ewoks #2”, it’s a struggle over Endor and Bright Tree Village as the Ewoks ponder whether to accept outsiders or not. Meanwhile, the bounty hunters 4-LOM and Zuckuss intrude in search of Imperial weapons, potentially hardening their stance against offworlders forever. However, Wicket and Meedro, a warrior, aim to persuade their people that there are kind individuals out there. But who is the Red Ghost? She seems to be significant in this tale, but her role isn’t specified here. The comic book is written by Steve Orlando, with artwork by Álvaro López, Laura Braga, and Antonio Fabela, and Pete Woods provides the cover art.
As a nod to the sentimental feelings evoked during this month, it’s also the anniversary of “The Star Wars Holiday Special.” That’s why this trade paperback featuring comics from the “Droids” and “Ewoks,” part of Star Wars Legends, is particularly relevant! This connection to “The Holiday Special” comes through the Boba Fett cartoon produced by Nelvana in the special. It was this animation that eventually led to Lucasfilm Animation, Star Wars TV as we know it today, and the creation of our beloved series (for more details, check out this article!).
The Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Original Marvel Years – Droids & Ewoks is a comic book series published by Marvel.
This week in Star Wars Comics, apart from Vildar Mac’s scruffy visage, we only have one clear entry: “The High Republic Phase II – Quest of the Jedi Omnibus”. This compilation includes the Phase II issues of the main comics from “The High Republic” by Cavan Scott and “The Blade” by Charles Soule. It’s an excellent opportunity to get up-to-date if you’ve missed out on this period in the storyline.
Wrapping up this week’s Star Wars Comic Adventures! Enjoy your special Star Wars Holiday on Sunday, and join us again in the comic strips next week!
