Overwatch 2 players can unlock the new Xal’atath Symmetra skin in honor of WoW Midnight.

If you love Symmetra and the Xal’atath character, you’ll be excited about this new World of Warcraft crossover! Here’s how to get the Xal’atath Symmetra skin in Overwatch 2.

WoW Midnight release date

Blizzard Entertainment revealed that the next part of the World of Warcraft story, called WoW Midnight, will launch on March 2, 2026. Players who pre-order the expansion will get a sneak peek at player housing with update 11.2.7, titled “The Warning,” which arrives in North America on December 2, 2025.

Overwatch 2 x WoW welcomes Xal’atath Symmetra

You can get the new Xal’atath Symmetra skin in Overwatch 2 by earning the “Welcome Home” achievement in World of Warcraft. To do this, buy World of Warcraft: Midnight ahead of time to unlock the player housing feature early, and then finish the quick starting quest. Finally, move into your first house to complete the achievement and unlock the skin.

Besides getting this awesome legendary skin, I also unlocked a cool Xal’atath spray for Symmetra, a special name card, and a Dark Heart player icon to show off my profile. It’s a whole package of goodies!

Overwatch 2 World of Warcraft skins galore

Overwatch 2 has added the Xal’atath Symmetra skin, expanding its collection of skins inspired by World of Warcraft. This new skin joins existing WoW crossovers like Lich King Reinhardt, Sylvanas Widowmaker, Diamond Magni Torbjorn, and Thrall Zenyatta.

We’ve featured a lot of unique character combinations before, like Illidan with Genji’s abilities, Tyrande using Symmetra’s powers, Blackhand combined with Doomfist, Magni as Torbjorn, and even Sin’dorei as Symmetra!
