On the “This Morning” show, host Dermot O’Leary voiced concerns over what he deemed an unprofessional action taken by his fellow presenter, Sian Welby.
During today’s broadcast, Sian, standing in for usual hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, had to apologize to viewers when she was caught using her phone during the live program.
After facing away from the camera, Sian took hold of her phone, which then led Dermot to inquire, “Good heavens, where are you off to now?
Sian apologized for appearing unprofessional, but Dermot jokingly pointed out that it seemed she was acting unprofessionally.
In response to Dermot’s comment about her phone on the studio floor, Sian playfully joked that she can’t resist social media. She admitted, “You know me well – I just have to check my Instagram to see what’s happening.

The host clarified that Alice Beer, a well-known consumer expert, would be part of an upcoming segment on the show, and that’s why she had her phone in the studio.
She pointed to the dots displayed on her phone screen and asked, “Can you see those dots? It seems they help alleviate car sickness. I don’t quite understand their mechanism, but Alice Beer might have the answer for us.
Afterward, Beer revealed his unique method, stating it might revolutionize the experience for individuals prone to motion sickness during travel.

According to Beer, the small indicators along the edge of the screen serve as a visual cue for both your ears and eyes, signaling movement. This way, you can understand if you’re in motion and avoid feelings of sickness.
Following the demonstration of the phone trick, Beer remarked: “Should you retain just one thing from today, let it be this – I’ve made a difference in your life. In essence, my mission has been accomplished.
“Every weekday at 10am, I tune in to ITV1 and ITVX for the latest gaming news with Vanessa, and don’t forget to catch her on Channel 5 at 12.45pm starting March 24th!”
