This Morning’s Dermot O’Leary lands new show
As a long-time fan of Dermot O’Leary and his culinary adventures on “This Morning”, I can hardly contain my excitement for his new travel food series, “Dermot’s Taste of Ireland”. Having grown up with Irish parents, I feel like this is a journey that will not only satisfy my taste buds but also connect me to my roots.
This Morning co-presenter Dermot O’Leary will helm his own travel food series for ITV.
Originating from England with roots in Ireland, Dermot is set to delve into the culinary landscape of Ireland during a five-part series, launching towards the end of this month.
Dermot’s Journey Through Ireland’s Culinary Landscapes will guide him to various spots throughout Ireland, providing insights into popular food destinations.
During his journey, Dermot plans to dine at Michelin-starred restaurants in the charming town of Kinsale, delve into the culinary scenes of Dublin and Belfast, indulge in hearty meals in Wexford, and cast a line for oysters in Cork.
The logline for the series promises a mix of delicious dishes to try and stunning landscapes.
After establishing two seafood-centric eateries and showcasing some of his beloved home cookery on ITV’s “This Morning”, [Dermot] has embarked on a journey to share his ardor for food while traversing Ireland’s ancient landscapes, bustling urban areas, and breathtaking seascapes.
Speaking of himself, Dermot is eager to exhibit the vibrant restaurant culture in Ireland and express his deep-rooted enthusiasm for culinary delights.
He expressed his excitement for the upcoming journey, as it would allow him to delve into two passions dearest to his heart – Ireland and culinary delights,” is one way to paraphrase the original statement.
Experiencing Ireland’s culinary world promises an enjoyable adventure, with the opportunity to connect with locals and sample their produce being a particular highlight. It’s fascinating to explore modern Ireland through the perspective of its second generation. And while you’ll certainly find excellent cabbage and stew dishes there, remember that Irish cuisine offers much more than just those.
On September 23rd, starting at 2pm, you can catch Dermot’s Taste of Ireland on both ITV1 and ITVX. Subsequent episodes will be broadcast daily, wrapping up the series by Friday.
This Morning airs Mondays through Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX.
