This Morning viewers stunned as they discover TV icon’s real age
As a devoted fan of “This Morning,” I was absolutely blown away by Diana Moran’s recent appearance on the show. Known for her iconic role as the Green Goddess during the ’80s, Moran’s youthful appearance left me and many other viewers in awe.
This Morning viewers were left stunned after they discovered TV icon Diana Moran’s real age.
I had the pleasure of hosting the workout section on BBC1’s “Breakfast Time” show from 1983 to 1987. Recognized by my iconic green leotard, I was affectionately given the nickname Green Goddess later on.
Throughout her professional life, the health guru wrote and released more than ten books. One of these publications was “Get Fit with the Green Goddess,” which came out in 1984 and went hand in hand with an accompanying album and video of the same title.
On Monday (July 22), Moran, who’s 85 years old, graced the “This Morning” couch to discuss her impressive career. Many spectators were taken aback by her remarkably vibrant look.
“Wow, Diana certainly doesn’t look her age at 85!” or “Diana appears remarkably youthful for being 85 years old.”
I was taken aback by what third party commented, “She truly defies her age; I’d swear she’s no older than sixty!” And then there was fourth, who astonished me with, “Born on the eleventh of June in 1939 – just two months before World War II began! Incredible.”
Another viewer echoed the sentiment: “Credit where it’s due, she looks amazing.”
In an interview with Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett, Moran shared how she unexpectedly took on the role of the Green Goddess.
She shared that it was an unplanned turn of events. As a personnel and welfare officer in a large department store in the West Country, she unexpectedly received a request to model for one of their fashion shows due to her tall stature.
“The BBC was about to air ‘Breakfast Time,’ and I received a call inviting me to appear on the program during its inaugural week. I joined the team and stayed for the next four years.”
Recently, it was revealed by “This Morning” that their summer team of presenters will be taking over the show starting now, with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard stepping away until September 2nd to relax and recharge.
I’m thrilled to share that some beloved celebrities will be joining me on the popular ITV daytime talk show. Josie Gibson, Rylan Clark, and Rochelle Humes are among those gracing us with their presence. Can’t wait for their upcoming appearances!
Sian Welby is back on screen with Craig Doyle, making this her first presentation gig since the birth of her daughter Ruby in June.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
